A little bit of Saturday sewing 🎮
Trying out some new bag shapes at the moment and I think this one might be a keeper.
Big, slouchy, deceptively roomy and covered in enough gaming chaos that you could probably spend ten minutes just spotting all the little details.
I’ve added a magnetic fastening inside this one too, because occasionally I make sensible decisions.
The new shapes are slowly creeping into the shop while I work out which ones deserve a permanent place in the Goosewell line-up.
So far… this one’s looking promising. 👀🖤

Goosewell Studio has a very strict division of labour...
I make the bags.
He makes sure I take regular breaks.
His preferred method is to throw himself dramatically onto the floor until somebody notices him.
Fortunately, his role only begins after I've left the sewing room (it's a strictly no-pets zone ✂️🐾), where he takes his position as Head of Morale and demands payment in fuss and belly rubs.
It's a surprisingly effective system.
Meanwhile, a few more bags have officially escaped the sewing machine today... and I couldn't be happier with how they've turned out. 🖤

Didn't commit murder. 🖤 Fed the family an unnecessarily elaborate Korean feast despite joints staging a full-scale rebellion. 🖤 Walked my girl safely to work after some limp-dick rodent thought following and shouting at her was a personality. 🖤 Still standing. Barely.
Some days the win isn't productivity.
Sometimes the win is keeping everyone safe, getting food on the table and resisting the urge to feature on the 6 o'clock news.
Tomorrow can try again.

have a confession... 🚨
Goosewell isn't actually a bag business.
It's a front.
A front for buying increasingly obscure 80s fabric, adopting suspiciously round-faced cats, and pretending I understand what the Vinted algorithm wants.
The bags are there. They're live. They're just being treated like classified government documents.
So while Goosewell remains under investigation by the Algorithm Police™, I've started quietly listing everything over on Depop too.
Today's fugitive is this Coraline-inspired shoulder bag. Handmade, one of a kind.
Meanwhile, Mando has declined to comment, requested legal representation, and retreated to his emotional support bunker. He definitely knows where the bodies are buried... but he's not a grass.

☑ Made another bag. ☑ Drank too much coffee. ☑ Argued with technology. ☑ Was investigated by Vinted... again. ☑ Cleared of all charges... again.
At this point I'm convinced my biggest offence is excessive nostalgia.

Today's episode of Goosewell Studio...
🧵 Made a Popples bag. 🚨 Continued my alleged career as the head of an international retro bag crime syndicate. 🍖 Escaped for an absolutely incredible Korean BBQ with my mum and brother. 🍮 Then discovered the cutest jiggly cat dessert I've ever seen.

Huge shoutout to for such an amazing lunch. The food was incredible, the dessert was ridiculously adorable, the staff were all lovely, and I'll definitely be back. 💛
Now it's back to the sewing room... where I'll no doubt commit the heinous crime of listing another handmade bag. 🙃

Behind every handmade bag is a small business owner who's either thriving... or has just been briefly investigated by Vinted for crimes they definitely didn't commit.
Today's score:
💩 woken up by a spectacularly leaky stoma.
🤕 Hernia chose violence.
🚨 Vinted briefly decided I was an international crime syndicate... then immediately changed its mind.
🧸 Still made a Care Bears bag.
