Tamsin’s dress was definitely one of those gowns that stops you in your tracks 😍🤍

The bold black and white floral design was such a unique choice and suited her perfectly. For her alterations, I adjusted the side seams for the perfect fit, added cups for extra support, and shortened the hem and linings so everything sat beautifully on the day.

And can we just take a moment for those stunning autumnal flowers? 🍂🧡

✨ Abi ✨

Abi’s dress is a perfect example of how alterations can completely transform the fit and finish of a gown. We adjusted the side seams to achieve the perfect fit, took up the hem, added a bustle, and secured the bodice pleats so everything sat perfectly on the day.

The final result was a timeless, elegant gown that suited Abi beautifully and looked absolutely stunning in the sunshine on her wedding day. 🤍

✨ Josie ✨

Josie looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day! 🤍

For her alterations, I lined the front bodice to give a little more coverage, adjusted the princess seams for the perfect fit, shortened all three layers of the hem and added a bustle so that beautiful lace train could be lifted for the evening celebrations.

I also altered both bridesmaid dresses, making sure everything fitted beautifully and everyone felt comfortable and confident on the big day.

✨ A little throwback to beautiful bride Cody ✨

Cody got married at Dartmoor Zoo, which definitely made for some memorable wedding photos! 🦉🤍

Her stunning lace gown needed quite a bit of work to get it fitting exactly how she wanted. We took in the bodice, adjusted the corset, added cups, created a bustle and shortened five layers of lace and tulle to make sure everything sat perfectly for her big day.

✨ Bride Spotlight ✨

I’ve been so busy over the last year that my social media has been a little neglected, so I’m finally catching up and sharing some of the beautiful brides I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

This is the lovely Katherine, who married in August. 💕

Her alterations included:

✂️ Adding a bustle
✂️ Shortening the hem and both linings

The goal is always to make sure a dress fits perfectly while preserving everything that made the bride fall in love with it in the first place. Katherine looked absolutely beautiful on her wedding day, and it was a privilege to play a small part in it.

✨ A Little Bride Throwback While I Come Up for Air! ✨

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here! Between fittings, sewing, family life and a very busy bridal diary, social media has definitely taken a back seat recently.

As I’m finally finding a few moments to catch up, I thought I’d share one of my beautiful brides from last year 🤍

Kiera married in July 2025 and looked absolutely stunning in her gown.

Although the dress was already beautiful, we carried out a range of alterations to make sure it fitted perfectly and felt amazing to wear on her wedding day:

✨ Reshaped and reduced the volume of the statement bows
✨ Took up the shoulders
✨ Added cups for extra support
✨ Created a bustle for the evening
✨ Hemmed three layers
✨ Adjusted the side seams for the perfect fit
✨ Altered the veil clip
✨ Added darts to the back for a smooth, flattering finish

Bridal alterations are so much more than simply taking up a hem. Every dress is unique, and every bride deserves a gown that feels like it was made just for her.

✨ A little booking notice ✨

I’m so grateful for how busy you all keep me, but it does mean my diary fills up very quickly.

For bridal, prom and evening wear alterations, during busy periods (especially spring/summer), I can be booked up as much as 6 months in advance.

For general alterations, when I’m really busy I’m often fully booked 1–2 months ahead.

At the moment, I’m having to turn away several people every single day because they’ve left it too late to book in — and I honestly hate having to say no when I know how important these outfits are.

So if you have:
👰 A wedding dress, prom or evening dress
👗 An outfit for a specific event
🧵 Any alterations needed for a certain date

Please get in touch as soon as you can. Then I can get you booked into the diary so you’re covered.

I’ve been so busy lately and I’m honestly a bit rubbish at posting… but I’m really trying to share more of my lovely brides 🥰

Lauren got married last September and looked absolutely incredible on her wedding day at Pengersick Castle ✨

Hannah completed the alterations for my wedding dress as well as my husband’s suit which she fitted in in relatively short notice. From the initial contact Hannah’s communication was brilliant and I felt confident with trusting her with the task. I had three appointments with Hannah in total and was made to feel welcomed and comfortable throughout. Hannah clearly has the skill and a keen eye for detail and I was very happy with how my alterations turned out, as was my husband. Hannah didn’t just do the bare minimum and tweaked things as needed making sure I was happy with everything. She was also able to give me tips on steaming and helped me into my dress when needed. I would definitely recommend Hannah to anyone needing alterations and I’ll certainly approach her again should I need anything else altering!
