It is with great regret that we have to inform you that Square Rig Limited will no longer be covering contract tailoring work at HMS Excellent, Southwick Park or Marchwood from 5th Feb 2024.

We have been honoured to support these sites for the last year and would dearly love to continue. Sadly, we have been unable to make it financially viable for our excellent and highly skilled team to deliver contract tailoring to a standard we and our Armed Forces can be proud of.

The entire team have been immensely proud to have provided tailoring services for the last 12 months, performing over 5,000 individual tasks on time and to the highest standards. It was the greatest honour, and an experience of a lifetime, to be able to deliver tailoring for RN State Ceremonial for HM King Charles Coronation.

We can take care of all your tailoring needs, whether you are an officer or enlisted. We work across tri-service including Military Police and Auxiliary services.
Don't forget, we'll be at HMS Excellent each Thursday morning until 12.30pm next to the Greatcoat store to take in work including medal work, alterations and re-ranking.

We're on Christmas leave now, wishing you all a wonderful time if you're at home enjoying some downtime. But let's not forget all of our dear ones who are forward-deployed over Christmas time, we hope some of the festive spirit reaches you by land or sea!
We saw out an incredible year of growth and achievement with a team axe-throwing session at Gosport-a new business that has opened up not far from us! It was so much fun, perhaps even a little therapeutic, and no tailors were injured in the process... (we are rather used to sharp implements and know how to use them...)
The guys at the range are ex-military and have a knack for teaching technique. Lots of fun and a healthy outlet for some energy.

Oh, just your standard alterations...
'Fix bayonet holes'- we don't even bat an eyelid anymore. We've repaired many a bayonet hole this year!
Now if the Royal Navy could kindly stop snagging their oppos on parade that would be super 👌

Today Erin and Naomi are working with the State Ceremonial Team to allocate ceremonial and training greatcoats, gather in medals and uniform for adjustments, post-inspection.
We'll be busy with the rest of team team making sure everyone looks spot on for November Ceremonies.

Welcome to Square Rig! We are the measuring contact for contract uniform supply and fit. We carry out the measuring and place the order for you, Kashket Supply Ltd are the supplier.
If you need updates on uniform we have measured you for, please get in touch the Kashket customer service contact detailed on this post.
We also offer contract uniform services at HMS Excellent and Marchwood, with collections available at HMS Sultan, Collingwood and Nelson.
Tin Trousers staff are unable to advise on Kashket order fulfillment or progress, though can certainly help with private tailoring requests.

We now cover the tailoring contract for those based at HMS Excellent and deliver services for ceremonial duties.
However, if you need private work that isn't covered by contract, such as miniatures, court mounts less than 6 medals, bespoke items or ranking for commissioned officers, please visit our 'sister-ship' . We're a tri-service one-stop shop for your uniform tailoring and medal needs.

The team behind the seams: We are 'Square Rig'-the recently-installed contract tailors at HMS Excellent.

Between us we have many years of broad tailoring experience and niche military knowledge, lead by Master Tailor and Director, Erin.
We've achieved awards for 'Best Tailoring Business' two years consecutive and are also finalists in this year's Soldiering On Awards.
We can be found next to the greatcoat store on a Thursday morning between 9.30am-12.30pm for work to be dropped off between those hours.
Square Rig caters for contract tailoring and medal work for ratings, senior Rates and officers based at HMS Excellent, a ross tri-service. We are also engaged to deliver on ceremonial tailoring-activated for Op Golden Orb within the first few months of being brought on to base. You can also enquire about work that is not covered by contract too.
You'll meet Erin, routinely visiting local bases each week-measuring for supply of new uniform (though please note, we are not the supplier).
We pride ourselves on offering an organised, reliable service with quality of craftsmanship and prompt turnaround.
