I was once told "your spirit guides will make themselves known when you're ready"...
So I guess this weekend I just got initiated 🙏🏻

Through all my years of experiencing magic, this is the 1 thing I just didn't think would happen for me.

I practiced at the Arthur Findlay College and I saw an old Native American Man with very long straight black hair, long finger nails and wearing some kind of headdress (no feathers), he wore something heavy around his neck and a long white fur cloak. At the time it felt like 2 people overlapped as I couldn't make sense of the clothing and even though I had initially said Native American, I just thought it was too cliché and I never gave it another thought. Until now.

A couple of nights ago I dreamt about what looked like horses with antlers but heavier built, someone in my dream told me it was Elk 🫎 I was walking behind one very calm black elk with more sat to the left of me and white horses to the right, it felt really powerful & I knew it had meaning. I turned to the internet to look up the symbolism for black elk, but I did not expect to find a Native American Medicine man by the name Black Elk on my screen.

🪶✨ Black Elk (1863-1950) of the Oglaga Lakota people. A holy man, healer and visionary. He healed people through deep spiritual visions, sacred ceremonies and healing herbs revealed to him in his youth by divine intervention. He utilised specific medicinal herbs shown to him in his visions to treat physical ailments among his people.

Does this now mean, he guides me along my own path of healing in a similar way through the divine or is he guiding me with his own teachings 🤷🏻‍♀️ Either way it feels great to finally put a face to a voice, and understand why I am so drawn to shamanism like it already lives within me. Even the book in my last photo, I bought online back in January as I just feel so drawn to this.

My visions sound the same. Intuition and the 'knowing'. I connect to animals alot through dreams/meditation, mostly bears, wolves, eagles & hawks amongst others.

✨ Remember that time I randomly slept upside and had the best sleep ever.. 💤

For a couple of weeks I tested sleeping both ways. Standard and 'upside down'.. I was having deeper sleeps and crazy dreams and I needed to test if this was the reason. Turns out it was. I can only put it down to the feng shui of the room.

I've always known about odd bits of feng shui but I didn't intentionally decorate my home that way.
Many of the points listed above are the complete opposite in my bedroom yet I did remove all mirrors because I could not sleep at all with them. Mirrors especially if you are open to spirit, will act as a portal when you're asleep and basically let anything in. My nights were mental when I had a mirror.

Now I sleep upside down most nights because honestly I'm having the most vivid crazy dreams, downloads, messages, intuition etc. I love it. I look forward to going to bed, wondering what will come through next.

I can only assume this has happened because my feet placement is no longer towards the door.

✨ Honestly give it a go if you have trouble sleeping or you don't remember dreams. It will feel weird for a while. But I like weird. It's good to mix up your routine 💤

💭 A phrase I think we need to start erasing from our vocabulary..

Ever noticed how much we actually say this to each other, and how insane it actually is when you think about it?? Nobody else's misery or pain should make us feel good or better about our own situation. A friend hurting does not make me feel better about the fact I am hurting. It's not a competition who can feel worse.. And just as 2 wrongs don't make a right ~ 2 pains don't make a happy heart.

Let's try saying 'I'm sorry to hear that, how can I help', or 'I went through something similar, this is what I learnt' etc

We've become accustomed to thinking itl be easier for someone to deal with a bad time if they know we're having a bad time too, how crazy is that.

Let's deal with one problem at a time with compassion and know that nobody wants you to be unhappy 💛
