I may have slacked and not shared all the dress photos I promised (I will, I promise!) BUT, I’m sharing an old favourite instead. I haven’t had any time to make any new pieces for my daughter due to so many other orders, but today she’s wearing the RomperTot that I made her over a year and a half ago. I just wanted to show you the longevity of this style as they can be worn over many seasons and they last (both size and durability wise).
So here is the evolution of one Cherry RomperTot, and it’s owner! ###

(A year and a half ago, a year ago and today going anti-clockwise)

I’ve been super quiet recently- sorry! I’ve had very little time to sew but I have still been doing bits behind the scenes- lots of alterations, dresses and memory bears. I have to show you my latest make though- a pair of waistcoats for a wedding made for two very special boys. They’re going to look so heroic- I hope they love wearing them!

Whilst most of you won’t notice such details I’m going to draw your attention to the pattern matching on the welt pockets and buttons- I’m pleased with these- it’s attention to detail like this that you get with handmade clothing from people who care about what they’re making you!

So- the summer holidays mean sewing time is even more limited than usual but I hope to be back in September with more to show you. In the mean time I’ll try to post some of the dresses I’ve made!

I hope L and C have the most wonderful wedding and I hope their hero page boys have a simply (Marvel)lous time! ❤️❤️❤️

Lots of love to everyone ###

Mothering Sunday is just around the corner- are you all set? Thought I’d give a shout out to ‘Make a Mother’s Day’ run by the Mother’s Union. You can purchase a gift in someone’s name and the donation is used for whichever cause and gift you choose. For example, £15 can help pay for a mother to learn to read and write and help her family.
My own Mummykins always asks us to get her this so if you’re looking for something to help others- maybe this could be an option!
What are you planning on buying for Mother’s Day? What are you hoping to receive?? ###

Help mothers all over the world move from life on the margins right to the heart of their families and communities. Gifts range from just £6 - £100

Happy International Women’s Day. I know far too many fabulous women to name them all but if you’re reading this- give yourself a pat on the back for being wonderful because I’m sure you are. Go on men, you can too. Anyone and everyone- keep being super.
Now, let’s teach our kiddies that an equal world is more than possible. Be who you want to be! ###

Sorry I’ve not posted for a while- been busy with the snow and other life! Just saw this though- what do you think? ###

Barbie dolls have been introducing girls to beauty and fashion trends for 58 years, but recently the company decided to switch things up. To better understand what the current society needs, Barbie surveyed 8,000 mothers. It found out that 86% of them are worried about what kind of role models their...

I’m pleased to say I’ve hired some help to get through all my orders. I don’t have to pay minimum wage until she’s 18, right 😉?? ###

I originally trained in Costume for the Screen and Stage and worked for a few years in costume and with wedding dresses before becoming a teacher and then ending up with RomperTots after having children.
I still love the world of costume and I love seeing these designs for the costumes in the West End production of Aladdin. Have you seen the show? What did you think of the costumes?
Any shows or films with costumes you love? There’s so many wonderful people behind the scenes getting these amazing shows on the stage! ❤️❤️❤️

So after a beautiful day out yesterday, this morning I decided to set the kiddies to work. I ignored all you sensible people who thought ‘colour your own’ fabric seemed ludicrous for children and went ahead to see how these two got on with it. I decided to let them colour before I made anything to avoid a beautiful skirt or waistcoat being covered with delightful brown scribbles... it’s going to be slow work though, perhaps a few more sessions before they complete their master piece. Otherwise I think the fabric is destined for pillow cases... 🤣 All good for them to express themselves though!
