Today marks the start of what looks to be a pretty significant UK heatwave, and unfortunately I've also been battling a stonking head cold since the middle of last week. It really ramped up yesterday, and as anyone who knows me will tell you, I don't cope particularly well with either head colds or hot weather. So I've not been the happiest bunny recently!
To add to the fun, my studio has a huge west-facing window which turns it into something of an oven during the afternoons. I normally have an air conditioning unit in there, but my youngest's room is currently the hottest room in the house, so the unit has been relocated to where it's needed most.
All of which is a long-winded way of saying that I'm taking a few days off this week to shake off the plague and avoid melting completely. I won't be spending any time in the studio, but I'll hopefully be tackling a bit of admin and some computer-based jobs from inside the house, with the blinds firmly closed.
Thanks for your patience, and normal service will resume once both the weather and my immune system have calmed down!
