I have always loved hairdressing and I was able to follow my passion in 2006 when, at the age of 15, I joined

Inkfish Hair design group in Truro where I qualified in 2009, gaining City & Guilds Nvq levels 1 and 2. Since then I have developed my skills by attending regular courses in London with Toni & Guy, TIGI and Vidal Sassoon. After Inkfish, I work at Gossips Hair & Beauty, St Agnes and at the Cutting Edge, in Falmouth.

My lovely client came to me feeling like her hair just wasn't working for her anymore.

What a lovely morning last Saturday celebrating Amy's wedding 🤍

From the moment I arrived, everything felt so relaxed. The morning was calm, unhurried and such a joy to be part of.

Amy chose to do things her own way, with a beautifully non-traditional wedding. She and her partner had already tied the knot the day before, so the celebration was all about spending time with their favourite people. There were no bridesmaids, just a laid-back morning getting ready before everyone headed to a gorgeous beach bar to celebrate.

It was the perfect reminder that your wedding day doesn't have to follow tradition. It should reflect you, your story, and exactly how you want to celebrate.

To achieve a vibrant pink like this, the hair first needs to be carefully lifted to a pale blonde. Creating the right canvas is key to achieving a bright, even result while taking care of the hair throughout the lightening process.

Only once the hair has reached the perfect level can the pink be applied, allowing the colour to look fresh, vibrant and true to tone.

I love seeing the transformation from start to finish—it's one of my favourite parts of creative colouring! ✨

My lovely neighbour, who has become such a wonderful friend, was treated by her husband to a hair makeover ready for her holiday. What a thoughtful gift! 🤍

As mums, we spend so much of our time looking after everyone else that we often forget to make time for ourselves. Sometimes, all it takes is a couple of hours in the salon to feel refreshed, more confident and a little more like *you* again—not just "Mum."

Watching her leave with a smile, feeling holiday-ready and full of confidence is one of the reasons I love what I do.
