Only the finest for the finest.

The curtains at the Royal Opera House have long been a symbol of theatrical heritage, framing countless iconic performances and witnessing generations of opera and ballet history unfold.

As the venue has evolved, so too have the curtains. This May, the new curtains were officially unveiled, replacing the previous set installed in 1999 - closing one chapter of stage history and opening another for one of the world’s most iconic venues.

Among the details behind the restoration were specialist threads from Madeira, contributing to a finish that balances durability and timeless elegance. 🎭

An innovative embroidery thread made entirely from recycled plastic collected from oceans and coastal environments. The recycling journey begins by recovering discarded plastic from coastlines, rivers and remote islands before being transformed into premium recycled polyester embroidery thread.

We’ve been busy branding ’s new Quilted Zip Sweatshirts (KK331) 🔥

Designed for performance and comfort, this hybrid jacket combines a classic sweatshirt sleeve with an insulated padded front - meaning multiple fabric types to tackle.

Using Polyneon 60 threads, we achieved crisp fine lettering and sharp logo details, supported by a single piece of Weblon backing in each area. The result? No puckering, clean finishes, and comfortable wear for the end user.

💡 Tip: When struggling with tricky areas like sleeves, use temporary adhesive spray (Madeira AD505) to secure the backing in place. Turn the garment inside out, spray and position the backing, flip it back the right way before hooping.
