Don't forget πŸ“†

It is Ollie's memory walk in a couple of weeks time.
Doing a circular route, in Shrewsbury (Devils chair).
It is a lovely hike, rocky terrain with heather scattered everywhere.
Last time we went, it was beautiful and all the heather was in bloom.
Making it well worth the 1hr 45minute drive.
It would be great to have some of you with us,
thanks those of you who have already confirmed you'll be in attendance.
It will be a nice way to kick of the weekend. Time outside in nature, connecting with people is just what many of us need!

Drop us a DM for more details.

HELLO CAMPERS πŸ‘‹πŸΎβ›ΊπŸƒ
Ignore the quality of the video, the content of it is what's important! We want to plan something special next year, a fundraising challenge that is bigger than ourselves. Involving a larger team of people, not just us pair and one of our loyal friends (usually Joel or Andy, who we somehow manage to get on board.)
In 2027, we intend to take a team of 'DRM runners' to Eridge park, to take on Luna trails together. It was a great event this year, well organised, set in a beautiful location and not too large. Giving it some charm and making it not to crowded on the trails, in fact sometimes we didn't see anyone at all.

This challenge will require us to complete a 24hr relay run, navigating different terrain and God knows what type of weather. We will be working in small groups (ideally in three's), running through the day and night to raise money for . You have a year to train, which is plenty of time. We won't lie, it's a physical and mental challenge, but one that will also be rewarding and for a worthwhile cause. We will share more videos over the next few days and weeks of our time in Eridge Park (much higher res videos thanks to us having on the camera.) Drop us a DM to find out more. Deadline to sign up as a DRM team member is the 30th July. Thanks to those of you who have already registered your interest and signed up to be on our team!

We have a much larger impact when we work together.

LUNA 2027 Who's ready for the challenge? πŸŒ™πŸƒβ€β™€
Last week, we completed a 24-hour trail running relay, running 5 times each and covering over 87 miles between us.
It was our first experience of trail running. We tackled technical trails, relentless heat, plenty of elevation (something we're definitely not used to living in flat Rugby!) and had to dig deep mentally to keep showing up for each lap.

Yet we absolutely loved it.

The camaraderie, the adrenaline of running solo through the woods at night, the incredible settings, and the resilience it took to keep going made it one of the most rewarding challenges we've ever taken on. It was hard, but so much fun, and we're already planning our return in 2027.

For us, a team of three was the perfect format. It gave us enough mileage to make it a real challenge, while allowing enough recovery time between laps to rehydrate, refuel and reset.

So for LUNA 2027 (3rd & 4th July) we'd love to take multiple DRM trios to represent us while raising money for Mind. πŸ’™

Interested? Here's what you need to know:
πŸƒ Register your interest by 30th July 2026 using the Google Form.
πŸ’· Early bird entry (through team DRM) is Β£130. If paying upfront is difficult, we may be able to offer a payment plan (just get in touch with us to arrange this.)
β›Ί You'll need a tent or campervan for the weekend.
πŸ’™ We'd love every runner to aim to raise Β£100 for our ongoing JustGiving fundraiser for Mind.
πŸ‘• If you raise Β£100, we'll kit you out with a DRM LUNA hoodie!
🚐 We'll organise transport and logistics closer to the event.

The best part? There is no minimum mileage. You simply run what you're able to. This year there were 4 different routes, ranging from around 4 to 8 miles, so there's something for everyone.

The event is brilliantly organised, with well-marked routes, live tracking, on-site medics and this year even physios providing sports massages, ice baths and compression boots.

Give yourself something exciting to train for, step outside your comfort zone, make memories, and help us raise money for an incredible cause.

Our next challenge (Luna Trails) is quickly approaching. This is a 24hour relay run, which our little time of 3 will be completing (Bill, Erin & Joel.) Last night we completed a 20km training run, running every hour from 6pm - 10pm, to get used to the reality of this stop start type of race. Fuelling was our biggest issue, all of us feeling a bit bloated and heavy, so we need to work out the best nutrition for race day. Also fatigue caused our running posture to worsen over the hours, so by our 5th run we were noticing aches and pains. This is what training runs like this are for though, to try and mitigate against these problems on race day.

We've kept this one fairly low-key. Partly because two-thirds of our little team have been battling injuries, and partly because it didn't feel right to launch straight into another fundraising campaign (so soon after our 100km ultra.) Times are tough for many people, and we're mindful of that.

But while we're not necessarily asking for donations this time, there is a conversation we want to keep pushing forward.

A study from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine found that su***des were significantly more likely to occur between midnight and 4 a.m., with rates peaking between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. The observed frequency of su***de between midnight and 6 a.m. was 3.6 times higher than expected.

Whether future studies support, challenge, or add nuance to those findings isn't really the point.

The point is this:

Sometimes the darkest moments come when the world feels quiet, when everyone else appears asleep, and when loneliness feels at its heaviest.

No matter how heavy things feel. No matter how lost or alone you may be. You do not have to face it on your own.

Your life is precious.

Your story matters.

We believe that alongside professional support, one of the most powerful protective factors against su***de is human connection. Checking in. Listening. Showing up. Creating communities where people feel seen, valued, and supported.

Every one of us can play a part.

As we run through the day, through the night, and into the morning, that's the message we'll be carrying with us.
