After a slow mooch around The Loft Vintage & Antiques, there’s something wonderfully comforting about wandering over to Unique Treat Ltd for a little something sweet. Open with all their gorgeous bakes and desserts — the perfect way to round off a browse, reset the shoulders, and treat yourself to a moment of calm.

It’s one of those simple Rugeley pleasures… vintage treasures, a gentle potter, and then a beautifully made treat to finish the morning. A lovely pairing, and a lovely way to start the day.

The Loft Vintage & Antiques is open this weekend, 10am–4pm, and I’ve refreshed the shelves at Jones & Wells with some gorgeous new vintage finds. There’s a lovely mix of ceramics, glassware, minis and character pieces now out on display — perfect if you enjoy discovering something a little different. If you’re in town, it’s well worth stopping by for a browse and a bit of weekend inspiration. ✨

There’s something lovely about starting the day with small, cheerful things. These little nurse and doctor owls have settled themselves into one of the cubbies, looking very much like they’re ready for a quiet morning on shift — keeping watch, offering comfort, and bringing a bit of calm to the start of the day.

They have that reassuring presence about them… bright eyes, tiny tools, and a sort of steady “we’ve got this” energy that feels perfect for a Monday morning. It’s funny how even the smallest pieces can carry a bit of heart, especially when the world is just waking up and everything feels a touch softer.

If you’re wandering through The Loft today, come say hello to them. They’re only little, but they’re doing their best to make the morning a gentler one.
