I’ve had a little influx of fresh faces around here (thanks to Emily Coxhead 😘 what a babe), so if you’re new around here, welcome!

I’m Claire, otherwise known as Cardi C 💁🏻‍♀️, the founder, face, chief (and only 😅) embroiderer CLAIRE aka Cardi C | Personalised Baby Knits + Denim

What began as a craft project for my baby girl, has miraculously - no actual miracles, just a lot of hard work and slightly unhinged determination 🤪 - turned into my full time job, and I couldn’t love it more 🤩

I try not to take life too seriously around here. I share the highs, lows, wins, wobbles, and behind the scenes reality of running a small business whilst raising two little humans 👶

Did you know I used to (still do?!) run another small business called selling preloved baby & kids clothes? 💚🩷

My bestie & I set it up after both being made redundant, but had to put it on hold for the time-being as we’ve both found ourselves VERY busy with our new jobs 😅

But anywho, sustainability has always been important to me here ❤️
From eco-friendly packaging to creating heirloom pieces made to be treasured for years… not tossed into landfill 🙌

A break I didn’t plan, but one I really needed 🫠

Orders have been lovingly created in the background, but May has been all about soaking up time with the people closest to me 🥰

40th birthdays, welcoming a beautiful new niece, a trip to my home-away-from-home, surviving half term chaos, and celebrating 10 years of wedded bliss with Mr TC ❤️

The heatwave was a blessing in disguise ☀️
Whilst it meant knitwear orders took a bit of a backseat (custom caps took the top spot this month! 🧢), it gave me the chance to slow down, reset, and find my balance again 🙏

So consider me recharged, cup full, and READY to make June my b*tch 💪

💝PRESENT INCOMING💝

The little boy who made me a mummy turned 8 today 🥹

Long before was even a pipe dream, I was making personalised pieces for him, and for the people I love most. That’s always been at the heart of TC… creating heirloom keepsakes to treasure forever and look back on with all the memories from that moment in time 🥰

Life has been such a whirlwind lately here at Tuesday’s Towers, that it wasn’t until LAST NIGHT, when I was wrapping his gifts, that I realised I’d completely forgotten to make my #1 boy, my brand rep, my muse, his own birthday keepsake 😫

Now, I know that this isn’t *that* big of a deal in the grand scheme of things (I haven’t totally lost the plot… yet 🤪), but the mum guilt has hit me hard!

So I need your help making it up to him…

But really? How are you?

Let’s talk about what isn’t always seen.

You can love your new baby to the moon and back, and still find motherhood extremely challenging.
Both can exist at the same time 🫶

I count myself extremely lucky that when my firstborn came along, it was bliss (apart from the usual sleepiness nights and breastfeeding minefield 🤪), no complaints.

But second time round I wasn’t so lucky.
There was no overwhelming rush of joy.
I felt numb. I felt numb for a really long time. 💔

The heaviness was becoming impossible to ignore…
Just before my daughter’s first birthday, I sought help and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself 🙏

Through talking therapy, counselling and medication, I slowly found myself again - I got my pink back 🦩

Maternal mental health awareness week is a reminder that your mental health matters just as much as everything you do for everyone else.

The majority of followers are fellow mummies, so if what you’re feeling goes beyond the ‘baby blues’, please don’t keep it yourself.
Speak to someone - a friend, your GP, a charity… or even me 🤍

Help is out there. You are not alone ❤️
