End of an era right? Today is my very last day trading as Ruby and Freddie’s, baby gift brand. God I’m going to miss it, it’s been such a huge part of my life for almost 14 years and I’ve loved it, even the lows. I grew a brand I loved whilst being a full time mum, it gave me the opportunity be at all the school plays, all the drop offs and pick ups and for a short while gave me an extra income and for those things alone I will always be grateful. I’m proud I started and I’m proud I knew when to stop. I learnt so much, so much I wouldn’t have learnt otherwise and it’s allowed me to have a really good understanding for my next path, running socials for other small businesses. The stability of an income again, still choosing my own hours, still being able to be creative and working with great people regularly is a huge win. I may be a little tearful today, I may be a little tearful on the first business birthday without this business but we only feel sad about something ending when we’ve loved it and that’s completely ok. I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible people, many who have become friends. I’ve been introduced to the wonderful world of small businesses and the people who grow them! I have a fantastic community on here which I hope will stick around. Thanks Ruby and Freddie’s, it’s been a blast! ❤️
