Well, Cornwall appears to have remembered it's nearly summer again ☀️

The harbour is busy, the beaches are filling up and we're seeing plenty of visitors making the most of the sunshine!

Natural sheepskin isn’t just for winter cosiness — it’s brilliantly temperature regulating too, helping keep you cool in warmer weather and warm when the evenings turn chilly again.

Safe to say this little chap has fully claimed his favourite spot for summer naps. ☀️🐾

With today feeling much fresher again in St. Ives and throughout Cornwall, we’re back to “chill with a cuppa” weather… but it’s lovely seeing how versatile these beautiful natural sheepskins are all year round.

It seems to be one of those days where the weather hasn't made up its mind — bright skies, then dramatic clouds, then suddenly everyone’s taking their sunglasses back out again 😅

It got us wondering… if someone was visiting St Ives for the very first time in today's weather, what would you tell them they absolutely must do?

A very Cornwall sort of day today in St. Ives — drizzly first thing this morning, but apparently brighter skies are on the way later 🌦️🌊... Which makes it exactly the kind of weather where a hat like this comes into its own really!

We’ve just added this lovely navy baker-style hat to the website and our little shop on the Cobbles and it’s one of those easy pieces that works whether you’re dodging drizzle, wandering the coast path or just trying to keep your hair vaguely sensible in the sea breeze 😅

A proper timeless style too — easy to wear with knitwear, waterproofs or just thrown on for a wander round town - we love it!

One thing we’ve really tried to do since we started stocking our Cornish jewellery is keep it affordable — even whilst metal prices seem to keep climbing.

These pieces are made in Cornwall by St Justin and inspired by the coast around us — sea life, shorelines and all the little details that make Cornwall feel like Cornwall.

We’ve always liked jewellery that feels easy to wear every day rather than something saved for “best”, and these have become firm favourites in the shop for exactly that reason.

This octopus pendant has had lots of admiring glances recently, so we thought it deserved its own moment 🌊

This week we’ve really enjoyed hearing from people who’ve been visiting St Ives for years — through Facebook, emails, and chats in the shop on the cobbles 🤍 Some for decades, which is just lovely to hear.

Our little jumper shop has been here since 1984, welcoming not just visitors but our wonderful local customers too — we think there’s something about this place that keeps people coming back 🌊

Opened at 10 and one of our little sheep gilets has already gone this morning — to a lovely French toddler 🐑🤍 The sheep ears seem to be a bit of a hit already 😄 Can’t wait to see the little lamb toddling along Fore Street’s cobbles!

It’s one of those classic St Ives days — sunshine and blue skies, but still that little chill in the air when the wind picks up 🌊

Lots of families have been wandering past already on their way to the beach, and a few popping in to say hello (probably to admire Hamish, let’s be honest)…
