Tea and Coast Tea and Coast: feel-good designs inspired by Cornish life, printed on organic cotton t-shirts

The Malakoff has had a bit of a makeover … which has taken a LONG time to get this far … but if you haven’t seen the views from up here yet, that’ll be your first job when you get to St Ives. It’s just above the train station car park and worth the walk.
Your second job will be to find us 😁

We’re only about three minutes walk away, with our own quirky Cornish designs made to make you smile, on t-shirts, hoodies, mugs and more. Sizes go from newborn to 5XL so we cover most people.
Come along for a laugh and a chat.
See you soon👋

If you can’t make it to St Ives, we ship worldwide to Cousin Jacks and Cornwall fans from our website.

Hey Clacton, we need to have a word…
While all eyes are on your by-election, we’d like to point out that Britain has a peculiar talent for producing situations so gloriously and magnificently absurd that the rest of the world can only watch on, both baffled and ever-so slightly envious.
A Count with a bin on his head, travelling from the Sigma Star System to challenge the man tipped to be the next Prime Minister, first in Makerfield, now in Clacton, but only in Britain!

And yet, the gulls would like to respectfully remind you that the real Prime Binister has been here all along; no manifesto, no intergalactic travel. The OG. Taking out the trash - or just redistributing it around the street.
Here he is: just a seagull owning a bin and an absolute conviction that your fish and chips are probably his.

We salute you, Britain. Stay binisterially eccentric!

And if you know someone who needs a Prime Binister t-shirt in their life... well, you know what to do… share and tag and let us know this amuses you.

T-shirts printed on-demand in the UK, on organic cotton. Not to be thrown in the bin when you’re done with it - this t-shirt is made to be recycled! Use the QR code in the care label.

Love them or hate them, seagulls are part of being at the seaside. They wake you early in the morning, they steal your pasty and your ice cream and then they p**p on you.
But they are clever and beautiful and are pretty skilled at acrobatics in the sky and we’re quite fond of them really.

In our little shop we’ve got a new batch of plastic-free stickers with our quirky seagull in his beanie hat to give away free to little people who like the seaside or might want a friendly and slightly smaller seagull than the real thing - you’re welcome to get one when you’re passing by.

But remember - don’t feed the gulls. They don’t need encouraging to steal more.

Spreading the wisdom of the right (and only) way to load a scone around the world! Michaela and David are already preparing for winter cruises with their Jam First t-shirts. We can’t wait to see where these t-shirts end up.

For those who may be confused: Cornish cream tea scones are always loaded jam first because it’s all about getting a gurt big dollop of cream on the top.

We’ve got plenty of Jam First t-shirts here in the shop in St.Ives or get yours printed on-demand through our website. The t-shirts are made from soft organic cotton and are designed never to enter landfill - send them back when you’re finished with them, using the QR code on the care label, and they’ll be remade into new garments.

tea&coast - spreading a bit of Cornish humour around the world, one t-shirt at a time.

The sun has got his hat on and St Ives is looking wonderful!

The tea&coast shop is open more often these days now, so it’s worth getting some steps in and coming by the top of Skidden Hill or Tregenna Hill, just by the Malakoff bus station.
Or, of course, the website is always open and it’s free shipping over £50.

You’ll find seagulls and sandcastles, pasties and saffron, teapots, mugs and bags.

Cornish designs on ethical, organic cotton tops - made to make you smile, and made to be remade, for zero-waste fashion.

Jam First on the squash court!
Here’s Timmy Brownell warming up for his match at the British Open Squash tournament in the Solihull Arden Club. Timmy is the USA’s number 1 mens squash player, proudly wearing his Jam First t-shirt and knowing which way to load a scone, where it’s all about the dollop, as well as how to hit a squash ball where it’s all about the wallop. 😁
And yes, he won the match - Proper Job - so it’s on to the next round. Ansum!
Tea&coast - spreading Cornish vibes around the world, jam first of course, and sending lots of luck to Timmy for his next match 🙌😃 Go Timmy!
