🚨 SHOE NEWS AT PETITES MODES! 👞👟✨

This Friday at 10am, we officially launch our brand-new school shoe department with Start-Rite, Term & Lelli Kelly! 🎉

And we haven’t just got the shoes… we’ve got the experts too! 😂

Some of you may remember Carol & Hazel, the legendary school shoe fitters from Edward Meeks. Well, we’ve dusted them off 🤣, tempted them out of retirement and brought them over to Petites Modes! ❤️

So if they fitted your children’s shoes back in the day… there’s every chance they’ll now be fitting your grandchildren’s! 👵🏼😂
(Don’t mention that bit to Carol & Hazel… 😬)

Properly fitted school shoes, years of experience, plenty of choice and absolutely NO sending your child off to school with shoes two sizes too big because “they’ll grow into them.” 😂

📅 Book your school uniform appointment NOW!
✅ Appointments are available until 16th August.
✅ 16th August is also our GUARANTEED cut-off date for ordering any items that are currently out of stock, ready for the new school year.
After this date, we can’t guarantee supplier deliveries before schools return.
A few more things to know…
🛍️ Click & Collect will be switched off around the middle of August.
After that you’ll have just two choices:
➡️ Join the in-store queues (bring snacks… only joking… sort of! 😂)
➡️ Choose home delivery, which may take up to 7 days during our busiest period.

Well… that’s six work experience students, three weeks, countless hangers, mountains of school uniform, and only a few “Where does this go?” moments! 😂
Over the last three weeks we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming some fantastic young people into Petites Modes.
⭐ Week 1: Teddy – who quickly discovered that school uniforms don’t magically fold themselves!
⭐ Week 2: Leo and Maddie – who worked hard, got stuck in, and proved they could survive the organised chaos that is our stockroom.
⭐ Week 3: Emmie, Layla and Grace – three brilliant girls who brought plenty of laughs, loads of enthusiasm, and enough energy to keep us all on our toes.
Every single one of them has been polite, hardworking, eager to learn, and an absolute credit to themselves. It’s been lovely watching their confidence grow throughout the week as they got involved with serving customers, sorting stock, and seeing what life in retail is really like (spoiler alert… there’s a lot more folding than they probably expected! 🤣).
Thank you all for your hard work, your smiles, and for putting up with my constant “Can you just do one more little job?” 😂
We hope you’ve enjoyed your time with us, learned something new, and maybe even discovered that retail isn’t quite as easy as it looks!
Good luck for the future, Teddy, Leo, Maddie, Emmie, Layla and Grace. You’re all a credit to your schools and your families, and we’re sure you’ll all go on to do amazing things.
Now… who’s volunteering to come back in the summer holidays? 😜💙
