This was very much a labour of love and one of my largest pieces. I don't normally work at this scale but wanted to give myself a challenge. Safe to say it was a theraputic piece and one i enjoyed creating.

Its been a little while, apologies for that!

I was given the privilage of creating a tribute illustration for a friend of their treasured family member who was a huge part of their life.

Its the subtle details I try to capture in these pieces that photos can't always do. By stripping it back to the person, posture and mannerisms combined with using a loose style and subtle colours it creates a certain softness.

This gents phrase was 'onwards and upwards', certainly words that we all need to hear sometimes ❤️.

These pieces are always bittersweet but there is a certain comfort in capturing the spirit 9f those no longer here for those who are left behind x
