By the second day the participants were well away with their weaving!

Exploring different weft patterns to see how they interacted with the spacing and cramming technique, it was so much fun! 😁

Walking around the room, every time I stopped at a loom something exciting was happening!

We even had one participant cutting their sample off the loom which was a real treat 😊
You can really see how they all took their inspiration into their weaves and experimented with colour, texture and pattern, just wonderful work! 😁

Thank you devonweaversworkshop for this amazing opportunity, I had a lovely weekend.
And thank you to all that took part, you should be so proud of what you created, well done!

On Saturday 11th to Sunday 12th July I was invited to run a weaving workshop at devonweaversworkshop 😊

These images are from day 1, where the participants created windings from their inspiration images to inform their woven work. We then threaded the reed using spacing and cramming techniques and then by the end of the day started weaving 🧶

It was wonderful to see each participants interpretation of their inspiration and how each warp looked completely different even though they all had the same guidance 😁

I must admit when they all started weaving at the end of the day it was a real pinch me moment seeing all those wonderful weaves in my style 🥹

So proud of this one!

I handed over this recent commission yesterday to a very happy customer 😊

Thank you so much for asking me to do this, I had so much fun making something a little different to what I usually do 😁

All the colours were chosen by the customer, and we designed the patchwork together 🪡🧶

The moment is here 😊

The first new colourways in the white warp are coming off the loom 🧶

Just three little colourways that have sparked a whole new following on here 😁

Thank you to everyone that has followed me since I started setting up this warp and don't worry there is lots more to come!

I'll be showing setting up a black warp next to weave some more new colourways 💙

But for now enjoy this lovely reveal 😊

Cutting off the finished white warp 😁

This is one of the best bits, knowing all those hours and days of weaving is done and you can finally see the whole length of woven fabric 💙

I'm weaving the last space image on this white warp 🌌

This is Jupiter's moon, after weaving two colourways with blues in I wanted to find an image without any.

So when I saw this image I thought it was perfect ❤️💜🧡💛

Anyways this warp is now finished! (Finally)

So I'll soon be taking it off the loom and washing it, ready to make into products! 😁
