Tuesday’s Top Tip 😁 … As we talk about early on in our Babes course, the youngest of our three age-appropriate classes, making eye contact with your baby while you talk or sing to them plays a really important role in their development. 😊

Scientists at Cambridge University have shown that when a parent makes eye contact with their baby while singing, the adult and child’s brainwaves synchronise. This synchronisation signals the availability, and shared intention, to communicate, which can help boost a baby’s ability to learn. 🧠

And even more exciting, researchers also found that when adults made direct eye contact with their little one, the babies responded by making more sounds, or vocalisations, showing their eagerness to communicate too. 🗣 Isn’t that amazing? 😍
