This is a conversation that’s come up a few times, so I thought I’d share my perspective.
Every parent makes hundreds of decisions based on what feels safest and right for their own family. This is one of those topics where there isn’t one universal answer.
For some families, embroidered names are a treasured keepsake, and for others, they’re something they’d rather avoid. Both are completely valid!
In this reel, I’m sharing why I personally feel comfortable with named embroidery, and the conversations we have with our own children about staying safe. Ultimately, I believe teaching children about trusted adults, family safe words, and what to do if they become separated is far more important than whether their name is stitched onto a jacket.
That said, every piece I make is created to order, and if names aren’t for you, there are so many other beautiful ways to personalise an item - take a look at my page for some inspo!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this 🤍
