Our buddy Margot turned 3 this week and here’s what she requested on her denim jacket!

I have some options on my Etsy but you can always message me through Instagram if you have any questions or would rather a design that’s a little bit different 💛

Talking you through the stitch I use to attach the lining to the inside of my denim jackets - mattress stitch.
It’s easy, and it’s almost completely invisible. It’s also very secure, I’ve been lining jackets for four years and never had a lining come loose yet.
And the great thing about it is that the lining is also preloved material, so yet another sustainable feature of choosing While She Dreams for your personalised denim jacket.

Here’s part 2 - showing you how to finish off this stitch when you get to the end. Apologies for not including it in the original!

What stitch would you like me to model next?

This is a conversation that’s come up a few times, so I thought I’d share my perspective.

Every parent makes hundreds of decisions based on what feels safest and right for their own family. This is one of those topics where there isn’t one universal answer.

For some families, embroidered names are a treasured keepsake, and for others, they’re something they’d rather avoid. Both are completely valid!

In this reel, I’m sharing why I personally feel comfortable with named embroidery, and the conversations we have with our own children about staying safe. Ultimately, I believe teaching children about trusted adults, family safe words, and what to do if they become separated is far more important than whether their name is stitched onto a jacket.

That said, every piece I make is created to order, and if names aren’t for you, there are so many other beautiful ways to personalise an item - take a look at my page for some inspo!

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this 🤍
