Never would I have thought I’d get so attached to a big metal truck 😂🤍
It’s funny how something as simple as a car can end up holding so much of your life.
We drove around the North Coast 500 in this on our babymoon, listening to Gerry Cinnamon on repeat, before we’d even become Mum and Dad.
Then it became the car we brought both our babies home in for the very first time 🥹 The car packed to the brim for camping trips, days out, nursery runs and those visits to Santa 🎅
But it’s also quietly been there through so much of the Ellor & Co journey.
It got me to events when I was nervous about going on my own, carried ridiculous amounts of stock to pop-ups and events, and took me to places where I’ve met some amazing people and become part of a community through Brood. Somehow, this big truck became part of building my little business without me even realising it.
And now, after 5 years, the lease is up and it’s time to say goodbye.
I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t got to me more than I expected. I think because it feels like we’re closing a little chapter of our lives.
But this decision also means less pressure and more breathing space for us as a family. And that matters more than any car ever could.
We don’t even have another car lined up yet, which feels slightly like I’ve lost an arm considering I’ve had a car since I was 18… and before that I had a scooter 😂
Events might slow down for a little while, camping trips might have to pause, and things might look a bit different.
But maybe that’s okay.
I’m slowly learning that moving forward doesn’t always mean going bigger or having more. Sometimes it’s simplifying things, taking a bit of pressure off and making more space for the people/things that matter most.
So goodbye big truck 😂 You’ve carried a lot more than just us over the last 5 years 🤍
