The Defender’s been earning its miles this week.

We’ve been on the road, meeting brilliant British brands, building out community events, photographing our new products, and cooking up some collaborations later this year that we think you’re going to love. More to come on all of that.

The Project Unbreakable team have completed their training and preparations to move through the Khumbu Icefall.

Every vertical metre gained is a step towards flying the flag for on the summit, followed by setting an all-time world record.

Massive thanks to and who came to Buffalo Basecamp this week for our first outdoor speaker session in Sheffield. They are heroes of the brand.

Preet is one of the world’s top polar explorers and shared her drive, passion and ambition. Just a day back from her 40-day expedition in the Arctic, we heard tales of polar bears, icebergs and relentless cold.

Mitch has recently published his first book, Limitless, about his triathlon to Everest, in which he swam the Channel, cycled 11,000km, ran 900km and then climbed the highest mountain on earth.

Preet and Mitch both share our Buffalo DNA of Grit and Steel, and we were very proud to host them and to continue to support them.

THE APPROACH 🏔️

Mission 001 has commenced with its opening phase.

, the , left Lukla on Tuesday and trekked through the Khumbu, to arrive at Everest Base Camp (EBC) yesterday.

As the altitude increases and the air thins, the body’s routines begin to shift even in homeostasis. This is the exact point where “Type 2 Fun” begins, and where the team commence their examination of human performance under pressure.

On Wednesday May 6th, we’re throwing open the doors of Buffalo’s design studio, Basecamp, on Chapel Walk, Sheffield, for a chance to meet some special people, get hands-on with new product, and pick up something exclusive.

5–6pm | MITCH HUTCHCRAFT: The man who swam the Channel, cycled to Nepal, ran to Everest and climbed it. Yeah. That guy.

6–7pm | POLAR PREET: Record-breaking polar explorer, Antarctic solo legend.

Both in conversation with Ben Fogle. Both signing books on the night.

7pm | We dial straight into the PROJECT UNBREAKABLE team, LIVE from Everest as they prepare for the record that can never be broken.

Doors open from 4pm. First look at the new Spring/Summer kit and try on the latest ranges and colours, plus grab sample styles you won’t find anywhere else.
