I work part time as a nanny and in July 2016 I started up my own company making baby clothes. I love my babes to be dressed in bright, individual little items, however, they need to be super comfy and stretchy for the day to day climbing, running and jumping that occurs! It’s named after my children (I’m so not cool enough to actually name my child Bear, although I would have absolutely love to, I
just have no street cred!) My eldest is called Logan, who was swiftly nicknamed Logi Bear, then shortened to Bear (sometimes I call him Logie Bogie, but I don’t think I’ll get away with that for much longer!) then 22 months later we had a wee baby girl called Molly who just became ‘the babe’
I have always loved sewing, but it was February this year I went for a sewing lesson, and things just took off from there!!! I love making all my own patterns, and spend hours on the floor over my giant cutting mat working out how things go together…copying out my pattern over and over again in all the various sizes. So much time and effort goes in behind the scenes of a little company like this. I spend a long time searching and searching for the right fabric, hours spent making sure my patterns are the right size, then all the time cutting, sewing, pressing and packing each garment. I love every part of the process, and I'm so grateful for everyone that supports our little company!
