SHOP UPDATE 🚨

Bins are absolutely rammed right now…

Fresh heat just landed from
Guns N' Roses, Michael Jackson, Queen, Herbie Hancock, Talking Heads
…and that’s just scratching the surface.

Rock, funk, pop, jazz, odd bits, rare bits… the kind of stuff that doesn’t sit around for long 👀

If you’ve been meaning to dig — now’s the time.
These won’t hang about.

Volume up – Shop Update 🎶

We’ve finally fought our way through most of that lifetime collection… and survived. Barely.

From the cosmic funk of Parliament to the folk brilliance of Richard and Linda Thompson, with an absolute mountain of new wave and punk in between—The Clash, S*x Pistols and plenty more causing trouble in the bins.

Safe to say… the shelves are looking dangerous again.

If you’ve not been in for a mooch lately, now’s the time. There’s some seriously tasty stuff hiding in here 👀

(Also, if anyone needs us, we’ll be in the corner recovering from alphabetising records for what felt like 7–10 business years)

Saturday Soundtrack 🎶

This one’s got the lab coats, the funk, and enough groove to rearrange your weekend…

Parliament – The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein.

Released in 1976 and still sounding like it landed from another planet. George Clinton and the crew turned funk into full-blown science fiction—deep basslines, outrageous hooks, and pure dancefloor mischief.

If your Saturday needs a little more swagger, this is the prescription.

Drop the needle. Enter the funk.

Volume up 🔊

5 more albums. 5 ridiculous opening tracks. No messing about.

Homework – “Daftendirekt”
A warning shot before the dancefloor chaos begins.

Black Sabbath – “Black Sabbath”
Rain, thunder, doom… basically heavy metal being invented.

Badmotorfinger – “Rusty Cage”
Chris Cornell wasting absolutely no time.

Purple Rain – “Let’s Go Crazy”
Dearly beloved… and suddenly your speakers are in church.

Abbey Road – “Come Together”
Cooler than most bands managed in an entire career.

Strong openers matter. First track sets the tone… and these lot absolutely nailed it.

What album has your favourite opening track?

Volume up — Shop update 🎶

We’re still working our way through what can only be described as the collection of a lifetime…

US presses of Bob Marley, Steely Dan, Brian Eno… and a serious mountain of incredible blues records.

Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Albert Collins and plenty more where that came from.

Safe to say the bins are getting a workout and the coffee is doing overtime.

If you fancy a proper mooch, now’s the time.

Volume up… this one’s special 👀

Just picked up a serious lifetime collection from a record producer… and yeah, it’s as good as it sounds.

We’re talking original pressings from The Clash, The Doors, The Beatles, Pink Floyd… plus stacks of soul & jazz that’ll make your head spin.

And the condition?
Immaculate. Like they’ve barely seen a turntable.

This is the kind of haul record shops dream about.
Get down early… these won’t hang about.

Volume up 🎥

Proof you should never judge a record by its cover…

3 AMAZING albums… with questionable artwork 👀

🎹 Breakfast in America – Breakfast in America
Looks like a weird breakfast/airline advert… sounds like absolute perfection.
“Give a Little Bit” alone = worth it.

🎤 Pin Ups – Pin Ups
Bowie looking like he’s been airbrushed into another dimension…
BUT a seriously underrated covers album 🔥

🎶 Tapestry – Tapestry
Bit of a “mum on the sofa with a cat” vibe…
One of the greatest albums ever made. End of.

Moral of the story: trust your ears, not your eyes 👂

What’s the worst cover / best album combo you’ve seen? 👇
