With hot weather☀️ followed by much needed rain🌧️, the scorched grass will grow resulting in increased sugar levels. These sudden changes can lead to an increase in the risk of Laminitis.

👉 Stay one step ahead, with a few simple management changes:

🌿Restrict grazing times.
💦Keep fibre intake high but reduce water soluable carbohydrates by feeding soaked hay.
👇Feed a low sugar, low starch, high fibre diet.
👀Keep an eye out for early warning signs such as heat in the hooves, a stronger digital pulse, stiffness or reluctance to move.

💙 Speedi-Beet which is low in starch, low in sugar but high in fibre is suitable for all horses and ponies prone to laminitis.💙
