We are today and Friday 10am to 5pm.
Saturday 9am to 4pm.

Every year we try to make a massive effort to tell our customers to break in their new school shoes. Why??

👣Feet that have been in Crocs, sandals and trainers all summer can soften and become more prone to blisters when going back into a more structured, supportive shoe.

👣This year things could be even worse due to long hot summer. We have been in summer footwear even longer.

👣The weather is still warm so can cause feet to get hot and swell, leading to friction that can cause running.

Wear your shoes around the shoe as much as possible in the coming days. 👍

No need for an appointment you are welcome to pop in anytime.

We are open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm.

We have plenty of helpful staff available to get you kitted out.

Thank you again to everyone who has brought school shoes with us the last 5 weeks.
We really do appreciate people’s support and loyalty to us. ❤️

We head into the last week which can be a bit unpredictable.

- We do have lots of us serving this week and I am always in store to double check measurements/ fittings and offer guidance where it’s needed as well as serve myself.
We aim to keep wait times to a minimum, the aim is no waiting times at all 🤞

- We still have plenty of stock available and we have extra stock being delivered this week.
Trainer stock below a size uk12 is causing us some headaches, but we are waiting on stock coming in from a supplier. Unfortunately, they have badly let us down. Fingers crossed the stock will arrive promptly.

- No need for an appointment, walk-ins are welcome. Our busiest times are still between 10am and 12pm. We are accepting Monday and Tuesday to be the busiest days.

School anxiety doesn’t always look like a child refusing to go to school.

Often, the earlier signs are much quieter.

The tummy aches that appear on Sunday evening.
The increasingly difficult mornings.
The constant questions about what will happen tomorrow.
The child who seems absolutely fine at school — but falls apart or completely shuts down once they get home.

And because they are still attending, it can be easy to underestimate just how much effort it is taking them to get through the day.

These signs don’t automatically mean that school itself is the problem. They are clues that something is making school feel difficult — and the earlier we become curious about what is driving the anxiety, the more opportunity we have to support the child before attendance begins to deteriorate.
