Good morning my beautiful Preloved family. 💛

Now, I'm sure many of you remember the saga with the old landlord — but let me refresh your memory.

We were offered a shop to rent. We moved in. The landlords and their builders caused a huge hole in the roof, which led to almost two months of flooding inside my shop. A flooding situation that the landlord then tried to claim we had caused — and gave me a week to either fix their roof or evict myself.

I decided to fight, and stay, until I was ready to leave on my own terms. When I eventually found another shop, they told me I couldn't leave. You honestly couldn't make this up.

I could have walked away and left it at that. But I know that if I do, there will be another victim of this manipulation. So I took it to court to shine a light on what these people have done.

They are still standing by their story — claiming I was responsible for the leak because I should have "contained the water better." They are also arguing that the umbrella I used to stop water pouring from the light fittings above me was a deliberate tool to spread water across the floor.

I didn't want to get electrocuted. That's why I had the umbrella.

We had hundreds of wonderful customers come through our doors during this entire period. All I'm asking is for anyone who visited the shop during that time to confirm what they saw — that we were always caring for and looking after our beautiful space, not destroying it the way they are now claiming.

Anyone who knows us, knows we are a genuine part of this community. Our very foundation is helping the people around us — and that will never change. 💛
