Not quite.

But after visiting Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style at Buckingham Palace, I was surprised by just how often feathers appeared throughout her wardrobe.

From her Coronation Fan made from ostrich feathers to feather-inspired hats and even the outfit worn during the unforgettable London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, feathers seemed to appear everywhere.

It got me thinking about how some fashion trends never really disappear.

Fashion changes.

Did the late Queen wear hair feather extensions? 👑🪶

Not quite.

But while visiting Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style at The King's Gallery at Buckingham Palace, I was surprised by just how often feathers appeared throughout her wardrobe.

From her Coronation Fan made from ostrich feathers to feather-inspired hats and even outfits worn during the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, feathers seemed to appear everywhere.

It got me thinking about why feathers have remained fashionable for generations, and why people still love them today.
