Another rescue from indoors - this time a Jersey Tiger moth. 😃 Quite big this one, very pretty black and white until it opens its wings, then bright orange underneath 🧡🖤 I thought it was a butterfly as it was flying around during the day, but apparently not - they like Buddleia and I have a large one in the garden, not seen this one before though

After many years of waiting, my Loquat Tree had finally produced some decent fruit - I thought it might be a good year as it flowered really well. I tried one, it was quite citrusy with a hint of apricot. I’ll leave them a bit longer before I try another one 😅

Rescued this bumblebee from the house, what a noise it made. Such a huge one too, think it is a buff tail ?🐝 It stayed around for a bit once outside but then off it went. 😃 I keep a plastic beer glass and a card to hand this time of year, which works very well.
