Great start to the day visiting Jamie, a legendary fellow business owner who is massively supportive and recently adapted their trading from shop to fab warehouse.

I've had a lot of support this week with people asking if I'm alright after announcing the closure of the shop. And you know what? I'm feeling okay!

I truly believe you create your own opportunities and where focus goes, energy flows. I'm super grateful to be surrounded by awesome humans who are doing their thing, adapting and adjusting and doing their thing.

Also looking for a new home is our blanket box.

This beast has a lift up lid and several drawers at the bottom. It was treated for woodworm prior to use, and is a rather rugged piece of old furniture.

I will take better photos and get measurements for you ASAP and also try to remember where it originally came from.

Dreamy dresser up for grabs, offers considered!

It has removable glass shelves in the top part. Can be separated for moving. No measurements at present but I will get some tomorrow. Fits perfectly in a VWT4 if that helps? 😂

Can be delivered locally (BH) if you can provide the bodies to get it out of the van and situated at the other side.

I have thought about squeezing it in my house but I just don't have the energy!

It has wiring for 3 light bulbs 💡 but this needs replacing. Makes a fab shop fitting or cabinet at home. I have the 2 doors that go on the base but they aren't painted. I can give you the name of the paint should you wish to add them back on. I ran out of paint and didn't need them so they are sanded ready to go.

Hi folks!

It has been a while. I have an update I have been reluctant to make, but the time has come to say goodbye to this happy little shop.

I have a few health issues and also the absence of a clone (or 2!) which has lead me to having to make the decision to close the shop on Christchurch Road.

For the time being our vibrant accessories can still be found at South Coast Makers Market and I hope to be able to announce a new plan for the Autumn very soon.

If you know someone who'd like to do something with this happy space (that also has the best original AWNING!) I can highly recommend my local landlord who charges a reasonable monthly rent and actually cares about the local highstreet, get in touch with him on the number below.

I would have loved to stay here forever, we really were welcomed into the street with open arms and have made some incredible friends since we opened the door last April. Thank you to each and every one of you who helped me get this off the ground with approximately £5 in the bank! To all the locals who stopped and chatted so kindly, to each and every wonderful customer, you are fabulous!

Also a huge thank you to Alex at Retro By The Sea who came on board for the first part of this year so we didn't have to leave so quickly.

I really feel blessed to have had such a great opportunity and such a friendly experience. This is not the end, just a sidestep!

Only took a month, but finally, one of the cats decided the vintage wicker cat carrier was suitable for a snooze...

What is it with cats and not wanting to sleep in anything that is specifically for them?! 😹

Who had a Sindy doll when they were younger? I found this a couple of weeks ago and it brought memories flooding back!

This cute Sindy chair is now up for grabs, complete with it's original box. Priced at £22 (they are fetching a bit more online, but I'd rather see the delighted purchaser's joy in person!).

Dot Mandala workshop anyone?

The lovely Paulette from Soul Creation is running another set of classes. They will be at the Avenue in Bournemouth during the day time and can be booked online now!

I thought making mandalas would be frustrating, but it is actually really calming and mindful. A great slice of serenity during a busy week!
