Edwardian corset cover/ camisole
36/38” bust 26”:waist. Another beauty this one arrived without original ties to adjust the neckline, it would have had a narrow white cotton twill tape about 3mm.
The skin ribbon in this is a little too big, but it’s an easy and cheap fix to replace.
Made from a soft white cotton with pretty whitework embroidery and eyelet detailing around the neckline.
Vertical pin tucking around the waist tapers the blousy bodice down. A band of eyelet Broderie above the peplum.
In lovely condition.

This 1920s evening dress has the classic drop-waist, being quite a straight silhouette Made from black lace and is fully lined black silk chiffon.
It has five large floral chain stitch embroidery motifs; one on the front bodice, one on the front skirt, and three positioned across the sides and back.
They are brightly coloured silk with hints of metal thread in the shape of bouquets complete with foliage and ribbons.

This dress has undergone extensive, (weeks) of restoration by hand to stabilise the lace, especially on the skirt.
The delicate connector bars (brides) within the lace pattern have been systematically repaired.

The dress is structurally sound again, and I think it was worth the effort.

A sweet 1930s child’s hand-embroidered linen pinafore, with a monogram on the bib—a pink initial “R”, or at least I think it is.
This has been beautifully crafted from a natural flax linen in a medium weight. I think this has been home-tailored and has a very lovely cottage garden theme along the hem, featuring different varieties like irises, hollyhocks, larkspur, and wildflowers.
The needlework is very neat, using satin stitches and tiny French knots. Such a lot of effort and love has gone into this. It even has two little pockets.

A beautiful example of original Edwardian corset coverdate isn circa 1900 /1910.
The fabric is a very lightweight, cotton that feels lovely and soft. This will fit a 36/38” bust up,to a 28” waist
It has a flattering V-shaped neckline that can be adjusted using the cotton drawstring hidden on the underside of the neckline.

The upper bodice has diagonal panels of pin-tucking and Broderie anglaise eyelet lace.
More pin-tucks stitched down the front bodice finish it nicely.
It fastens with cotton buttons hidden under a placket.
The back is plain.
The shirt sleeves are edged with cotton Broderie lace.
The cover has a peplum at the hem and another cotton drawstring at the waist to create a pretty flare at the hem..
