Settle down, get comfy… it’s time for a Hippo bedtime story. 🦛💤
Once upon a time, we made covers for our Hippo Showers. Little Hippo jimjams, lovingly handmade by a lovely lady just down the road.
But then, cries rang out across the kingdom…
“THEY’RE TOO EXPENSIVE!”
Now, we weren’t making any money on these little outfits. And sadly, our sewing lady couldn’t pay her bills with gratitude and social media 'likes'.
So the Hippo jimjams disappeared. The sewing machine fell silent. The Hippos slept naked.
A sad tale. 😢
Until one day…
'OMG, YOU SHOULD MAKE COVERS!' Erm… we did, babes. We did. 😂
After some negotiations, and a solemn promise not to shout about the price…
✨ THE HIPPO JIMJAMS ARE COMING BACK! ✨
Still handmade locally, with love, care and actual human sewing. No fairy godmother waving a wand. Just a lovely lady who quite reasonably likes to be paid. 🧵
The OG portable and OG wall-mounted showers will be first into their jimjams, launching at YOUR HORSE LIVE next month and online the following week.
Next, the HippoSaurus showers get their turn. Even dinosaurs deserve cosy nightwear. 🦖
Meanwhile, covers for the Micro-E, Mini-E and Maxi-E are being designed. Please form an orderly queue, little naked Hippos.
You can even have yours embroidered with your name, yard name, horse’s name… or your shower’s name. Because we KNOW some of you have named them. 😂
But there’s one more chapter we need your help with…
Should the Hippo Go get a prettier, insulated cover/bag too? 👀
It already comes with its own waterproof zip bag. Practical. Sensible. Unlikely to marry a prince on the strength of its looks.
Would you buy an insulated option? Tell us before we send our sewing lady another mountain of fabric.
