One of the things I love most about my job is being part of someone's special memories. 💕

This year, Katja travelled from Germany with her husband for their very first Royal Ascot. It had always been on their bucket list, and I had the privilege of creating the hat she wore for the occasion.

She looked absolutely incredible in a vibrant pink dress paired with this bold yellow hat. 💛💗

Afterwards, she sent me the loveliest email:

"Royal Ascot... what an experience! The unique atmosphere, the style, the tradition, the friendliness and warmth... it was indescribable. Your hat made everyone happy... I was so happy! Going to Royal Ascot was one of my best ideas ever!"

Knowing that something I've created became part of such a memorable day means the world to me. ❤️

I cannot believe Royal Ascot was **last month** and I still haven't shared my photos from the big day! 🤦‍♀️😂 Talk about being late to the party!

Royal Ascot is **THE** event of the year for those of us in the millinery and fashion world. It's the highlight of our calendar, and after months of designing, making, fitting and preparing, tradition has become that I take the following two weeks off to recharge.

This year, that meant swapping hats for swimming pools and sunbeds in Menorca! ☀️🏖️

Then, of course, I came home, threw myself straight back into work... and only now have I realised I've finally got time to share some of my favourite moments from the day.

The thing I love most about Royal Ascot isn't actually the racing (sorry! 😂). It's the people.

The millinery community is such a special one. We all meet up, admire each other's creations, chat about techniques, celebrate each other's successes and spend the day surrounded by some of the most incredible hats you'll ever see. It's inspiring, supportive, glamorous, and genuinely one of my favourite days of the year.

And every so often, you meet people at events like this who don't just become industry contacts... they become real friends. I feel incredibly lucky that millinery has brought such wonderful people into my life, and many of those friendships have been forged at Royal Ascot over the years. That, more than anything, is what makes the week so special to me. ❤️

✨ Ladies Day 2026 ✨

Done. And what a fantastic day it has been.

I always leave Royal Ascot feeling completely full of happiness, smiles and inspiration. A whole day spent chatting to milliners, fashion lovers and people who simply appreciate beautiful hats.

For me, that's what makes Ascot so special. Nothing feels like a competition. Everyone is friendly, supportive and genuinely excited to celebrate fashion, creativity and hats.

It really is like nowhere else.

I'm wearing a dress designed by Heyes and, of course, one of my own bespoke hat creations. This design features a dual pointed brim with bold striped detailing, seven dramatic quills and a huge feather flower cascading from the back.

And a special thank you to the weather gods for providing us with glorious sunshine all day long! ☀️👒

Green is absolutely having its moment this season 💚

We’ve seen it dominate the high street, occasionwear collections and of course Royal fashion over the past few years — and once the Royals embrace a colour, you can guarantee it becomes a huge trend.

The beauty of green is that there truly is a shade for everyone.
