Exciting Update - Am Cancer Free!! Still have radiotherapy to go through, but the horrendous chemotherapy has worked and there’s no sign of cancer!!

Life has changed dramatically in such a short space of time. I miss Cinderella’s - the banter, the chats with customers and of course all the lovely clothes 😉 But in a strange way I’m also grateful for this journey. Cancer has shown me a new way of living- a slower pace of life. I’ve learned that every day is a blessing, and that joy can be found in the smallest moments, even during the hardest times.

I’m stepping into life after cancer with strength,gratitude and a renewed love for living. I have no idea what 2026 holds for me, but am excited to see where this new perspective takes me! So much to be grateful for ❤️

And lastly, ladies please take a few minutes to check your breasts. I noticed a hardening just 8 weeks after getting the All Clear from a routine mammogram. It turned out to be an aggressive tumor that had already spread to my lymph nodes 😮 Checking your b***s really can save your life!!

I’m halfway through chemotherapy treatment! 1 session every 3 weeks. Each round knocks me flat out with every side effect going, for about 2 weeks, and just when I start to feel human again, it’s time for the next one .

After chemo, it’s lumpectomy followed by radiotherapy. A further year’s treatment is required for HER-2, the driving force behind the breast cancer.
Despite it all, I’m staying positive and focusing on the finishing line 💪

On a brighter note, things at Cinderella’s are running smoothly 👍 Janet has been running the show like an absolute pro and our amazing customers have been supportive and lovely as ever. Thank you to all the customers who have checked in with Janet and offered a helping hand- great to see Elaine with steamer in hand when I popped in yesterday 😉 Also thank you for all cards and messages of support. Your kindness and support is overwhelming ❤️

On a practical note, last day of business will be Saturday 30th August. Will put more info out on how we will be wrapping things up in my next post….

After 33 wonderful years, it is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Cinderella’s will be permanently closing at the end of August.

Due to ill health and ongoing breast cancer treatment, it’s time for me to step away and focus on healing (Treatment has been brutal).

Many of you have been supporting Cinderella’s for over 30 years, and your continued support and kindness has meant more to me than words can say. Watching your families grow, sharing stories and laughter, and being part of your lives has been a true privilege.

I want to thank each and every one of you for making Cinderella’s such a special place. This little shop has been filled with warmth, love and community spirit- all because of you ❤️
