I have over 20 years experience in dressmaking and have done everything from creating the dream dress for a Bride on her very special day to making a competition winning dance dress and even reproduction dresses for museum display! I love a challenge and if you have an idea I will be more than happy to help you turn it into your dream outfit. You get the dress you want in the fabric you want, the

cut that suits you best and most importantly it fits you like a glove. I am based in my home Studio where I can see clients but I’m also happy to do home visits for fittings. I have made this my profession for over 20 years and I take pride in my work. Nothing makes me happier than having a satisfied customer.

Love it when I get pics!!! This gorgeous gal came to me a couple of weeks ago in dire need of a bodice to wear for her wedding (she’d been let down at the last minute!) I love a challenge!! I think she looks absolutely stunning!!

When you are presented with a brand new (rather expensive shirt) and asked to cut it to pieces…. But all for the right reason!! To make the absolutely adorable little man a shirt to match his Daddy on his Mummy and Daddy’s (and his!!) big day!! What an absolute cutie he is!!x

I’ve not posted for an absolute age!! I thought I might post a few different makes over the next few weeks. First off a really cute set of shorts with braces and contrasting bow ties for two little boys that were worn abroad as wedding outfits. These were made out of the same fabric as Dads suit. (In fact a spare pair of trousers was purchased and cut up to make two pairs of shorts!) x

On off… on off… this last 18 months has been a nightmare for weddings. Not been much fun for the likes of me either. Not much sewing to be done when there’s been no weddings or proms etc. Hopefully things are getting back to normal. This is my most recent bride Louise and doesn’t she look amazing?!! This dress is Lace over Duchess Satin and her bridesmaids are in a lemon yellow Chiffon. All designed to Brides special requirements. Feels good to be back at the sewing machine!

Another flashback today. I made these outfits for the Marks and Spencer museum in Leeds five years ago! How time flies!! They were drafted using original garments as templates and constructed in the exact same way as the originals. My favourite definitely has to be the tartan trousers!! Great seeing makes in action!

3 years ago I delivered this dress to Tatton Park. It was a joy to make from first seeing the picture,to sourcing the fabric, making the pattern and putting it all together. It was lots of hours of cutting, sewing and head scratching but I enjoyed every single minute! Taking a flat piece of fabric and transforming it into a fabulous gown never ceases to thrill me!
