Hi lovelies, a quick update
Im back on my bagmaking 🥳.

Weve had a lot on recently with Ian's health taking a bad turn( which is all encompassing), also decorated the stairs, who knew we had 4,327 spindles 🤣🤣! Not to mention emptying and selling a house!!!

After being fortunate enough to take an amazing break in Poland, ive regenrated enough to get back in the sewing room, boy did i miss sewing!
Im including a small bag I made to take on my trip, Polish fabric of course....
The bag was perfect for my passport, phone, lipstick and other essentials. It has card pockets in the front pouch and more pockets than you could ahake a stick at...

Sew, im open for orders again, dare i say it, Christmas is coming....

Sorry ive been quiet and not been making anything other than orders recently...
Life has reminded me, yet again, what is most important..
Some of you will.know that Ian, my husband has been tetraplegic for the last 15 years. He, and our youngest have a genetic condition, Loeys Dietz smad 3. Ian is more than his usual very unwell, hence im spending more time with him and my boys, everything else is just taking a back seat for now.
Walked into my sewing room this afternoon, after a while; and just smelled that wonderful fabric and joy scent!!!💝
I had to make another pillowcase dress.....
Sewing is my escapism, bit of lippy and a just sewn dress makes such a difference with my mental health

Ive also been working on a special bag for a 4year old. Last time she visited, she said she had forgotten to bring her other bag i gave her, so she would have to pop into the sewing room to buy another 😁 she did and even slept with the bag filled with a variety of treasures from around the house!

I know what she likes, shiny materials and an arm bag, not a cross body, not a shoulder strap, just to carry over the crook of her arm.

I love a girl who knows what she wants! 💖

Looking forward to giving it to her next time she visits, and, of course a little purse to match

Hooe everyone is loving this sunshine, although hayfever has slowed me down a little.

Loking forward to the solstice tomorrow, i plan to make some honey buns with honey that my sons partner brought back from her dad in Poland. Yummm, looking forward to them. Ill also have a little fire and make some new plans for the second half of the year.

In anticipation of the sun shining tomorrow ive made another litte quilt cover upcycle. I just love the tie dye and it seems perfect for a solstice dress.

Prepping for barlaston jubilee market and making a few sets of bunting that I'll post in the next day or five lol.
Having my ceiling replaced in my bedroom so it's all hands on deck at present to get me back in there.
I have a plan to make my own patchwork headboard, bought a load of fabric and had a trial recovering my washing basket...
Nope, even though I love each fabric and it's a range so all colours are the same dye, I dont feel it works.
Perhaps it's because it's all the same range? I dont know, good job I always have a practice! So, I'll be making a few bags in this lot( not all together!)
Plan B is to make a patchwork headboard with lots of my Indian fabrics and others I've collected on travels, which dont match at all but all have their own beauty...
Work in progress, will post pics as it goes
