by the Emery Brothers who supplied colour pigments to the pottery industry in the potteries and abroad. As early as the 17th century this town was noted above all others for the production of the best classes of pottery made in this country. Here, too, was born the greatest exponent of the potters' art whom the world has known - Josiah Wedgwood - who was born at Burslem in July, 1730. The Potteries Antique Centre is very popular and proud to have established itself in immense art of potteries that holds an extensive collection of Royal Doulton, Beswick, Moorcroft, Wedgewood, Clarice Cliff, Carltonware,Wade. The Potteries Antique Centre has a large inventory of Pottery, Jewellery, Antiques, Garden Statuary and Collectors items available for shipment worldwide and we have over 20 years of experience at the shipment and packaging making sure the items are delivered in a safe and secure way to the best of customers satisfaction. 🖼️ To commemorate his centenary in February, we are highlighting this painting by Arthur Berry available on July 12th in our Rare 20th Century British Pottery, Jewellery & Collectables sale.

Berry, a Potteries native, was renowned for his expressive and unique art style. His creativity was not limited to painting; he was a prolific writer, writing plays and poetry too.

Photographed below is 'Seated Woman', which dates back to 1981 and was exhibited in Stoke-on-Trent in 1984. In his piece, Berry creates texture by using mixed media.
