It was a lovely day on saturday at the CrafterDay wasn’t it? So enjoyed seeing friends again xx

To all who came and took part in the auction, £64 was raised from it and from 3 generous donations. It has now been forwarded to MSF which I am sure all will agree is an amazing organisation and makes me realise how lucky we are. If my biggest problem is my dental/face problem then I am so lucky!!!
The cakes made by Sophie and her mum Sue were just wonderful, my fave …the Vitamin C cake , 2 slices :) Did you know travellers waiting for the trains were coming in to buy?

I would appreciate some feedback on the day please, anything you think was just right or indeed comments to improve. I have been asked by many of you to repeat it so would love to hear from you.

Go visit Janes wonderful blog for an account of her day getting to the station

Thank you again
Jeanette xx

Had a few questions re the Auction we will be having on June 1st at the CrafterDay in Stone. You can check out how it works at this link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_auction
Proceeds will go to the charity Medicins Sans Frontieres via the organisation www.p-hop.co.uk.
Any craft item you do not want and feel you would like to auction to help this admirable humanitarian organisation should be bought to the Station as early in the day as you can ie 10.30. The auction will continue through the day and close at 14.30. If you will not be there at that time and you have placed a bid please leave your contact details for me to send your winning item to. All items not auctioned and not wanted will be donated to a local charity shop. All proceeds will go to MSF.

A Chinese auction is a combination of a raffle and an auction that is typically featured at charity, church festival and numerous other events. Can also be known as penny social, tricky tray or pick-a-prize according to local custom, or to avoid causing offence.

Really looking forward to seeing you all again on June 1st at Stone Station for a CRAFTER DAY. Sort out all your unwanted crafting items for the auction and let's send ££ to www.p-hop.co.uk to help them in their work.

Remember this.... It is beautiful colours for yarn BUT not for a face! My face is a mix of these colours and very swollen....10 rounds with Smokey Joe ( shook his hand many years ago!) is about right but big op all done and dusted bar the after effects. It's never quite as bad as you think it is going to be is it? Still, I am staying indoors for a few more days, lots of knitting, reading, baking the odd cake and pulling up the rampant weeds.
Am hoping that June 1st will still be feasible at Stone Station, lots of bureaucratic hoops to jump through :( but watch this space :)
Take care and miss you all x
