Last year’s dress making another appearance… this time dressed down.

I originally wore this for a family photoshoot, but this is exactly what I mean when I say your wardrobe should work hard for you.

The same dress, styled differently, gives you a completely new outfit.

I wore this recently and paired it with a blue blazer (old) from and trainers to make the whole outfit feel more relaxed and wearable for everyday.

I love this white and blue combination for spring, it just feels so light and airy! I rarely leave the house without a scarf ( I really don’t trust the Scottish weather and hate been cold, so matched this one to the blazer.

My plan this year is to get more from what I already own, Less shopping, more styling!

If you fancy some stylist tips on styling for summer (in Scotland), register for our upcoming Summer Styling event in collaboration with French Connection Glasgow and Scottish Woman Magazine.

A little bit of summer in spring… and I’m making the most it, because this could be it! 😂

I always get compliments when I wear dresses like this, and it’s usually because they just work…A simple shape (with lovely details), good fabric, nothing overcomplicated.

Most of my favourite day dresses, including this one, are from . They have that balance of feeling a bit elevated but still very wearable.

This is the kind of piece you can wear as it is in warmer weather, add a blazer to smarten it up, or throw on a jumper when it cools down. 👌🏾

Long may this weather continue! ☀️

Effortless style is about laying the groundwork first. 💕

When you understand your shapes, know your colours, and invest in pieces that actually work together, something shifts.

Getting dressed stops being stressful.

It starts feeling simple.

That’s the beauty of a style profile: It does the heavy lifting initially so that day to day styling starts to feel easier.

If your wardrobe feels chaotic right now, it’s not because you’re doing something wrong. It’s because the foundation may not be there yet.

Hope this helps!

Brooches are back.

And no, they’re not just for coats your gran used to wear.

They’re one of the simplest ways to add personality to an outfit and a simple way to accessorise an outfit too!

Here are 5 ways to style them:

1. On a blazer lapel
Adds instant structure and interest to a simple blazer (My image is the perfect example).

2. On a knit
Pin it slightly off centre on a knitted jumper or cardigan.
It breaks up the block colour and makes basics feel styled.

3. At the collar of a shirt
Fasten it at the top button.
Or slightly to one side.
Major style points here because it’s such a unique way to style a brooch.

4. On a coat
Use it to elevate outerwear.
Especially beautiful on wool in navy, camel or charcoal.

5. On a bag
Yes, really.
If your bag is structured and minimal, a brooch can give it character without overpowering it.

So next time your outfit feels a little flat, accessorise with your favourite brooch and watch your outfit transform quickly!

It’s rarely the clothes that are the problem!

I love throwing on just about anything in my wardrobe, then using my accessories to ‘fix the outfit’. This could simply mean introducing depth, colour, texture or metallics to help elevate the final look!

So next time your outfit is lacking, look to your accessories to help elevate. 💕

Anyone else missing wearing a huge part of their wardrobe because it’s been winter? 🙋‍♀️

I have to say I am officially ready for spring to be here now, for a chance to wear more jeans, thinner jumpers, t shirts, blouses and trousers (with no thermal leggings underneath)- yes that’s been me!

And to wear a lot more colour! Roll on Spring!

Let’s chat bags 👜

When you think about it, every piece of clothing you wear has a job to do.

It has to fit your body.
Work with your colouring.
Suit your shape.
Be styled properly.
Pair with the right shoes.

It’s a lot of pressure for one outfit.

A bag doesn’t have that pressure.

It doesn’t need to skim your hips.
It doesn’t need to accentuate your waistline
It simply needs to look good and feel right.

That’s why it’s one of the easiest style upgrades you can make!

In the same way jewellery can change your mood, a bag can too.
It’s aesthetic first, with a little function.

And it’s also why I think good bags are worth investing in.
They don’t scuff the way shoes do.
They don’t wear down in the same way.
They hold their shape and quietly elevate everything you wear.

If you’re building a capsule wardrobe and consciously wearing less black, these are my go to colours:

• Soft white
Beautiful with darker outfits. It lifts navy, charcoal, forest green instantly.
(Pictured from )

• Dark cool brown
Incredibly versatile. Softer than black. Works with almost every colour in your wardrobe.

• Dark navy
If you wear navy often, this blends in seamlessly and feels considered.

• Burgundy
Your rich splash of colour.

It’s a small shift with a big difference! 👌🏾

Hope this helps!

Happy Valentine’s Day to my amazing husband Kevin!

A little throwback at the end of us… pre kids.

Back when sleep was uninterrupted.
Weekends were slower.
And getting ready felt effortless.

Life isn’t always as glam these days.

But I wouldn’t swap it.

I love the life we’ve built with our boys.
The chaos, the laughter, the team we’ve become and our caravan trips. ❤️

It looks different now; Fuller, Messier, More meaningful.

And I’m grateful for all of it ❤️

Now if you will excuse me, I am off to get a couple more walls painted in the house. 😉😂

I get asked this a lot: Who are your typical clients?

Women who feel like their wardrobe no longer fits their life.
They are in transition.
Their body has changed.
Their lifestyle has shifted.
Work looks different.
Social life looks different.
Confidence feels different.
They have wardrobes full of clothes and still feel stuck.
They buy more, hoping it will fix the problem.
It usually makes it worse.
They want to look pulled together without overthinking it.
They want clothes that work hard and feel good on their body.
They care about quality, but they are tired of wasting money.
They are not chasing trends.
They are ready to understand what actually suits them.
That is who I work with.

And that is why my approach is never about more clothes, It is about clarity. ☺️

Outfit of the day ❤️

Burgundy trousers, navy jumper, trainers and a brown coat.
This has been my uniform this week.
Back shopping for clients around Glasgow and on my feet all day.

I get asked a lot about when oversizing works.
And the answer is it depends.
Shape matters.
Personality matters even more.

With an A shape, wider on the bottom, I can afford to add volume on top and still look balanced. Not every shape can do that, which is why copying outfits without understanding your proportions doesn’t always work.
Then there is style personality.
Some women are classic with a natural edge. They want ease and polish, not drama. Oversizing would feel wrong on them.

I have dramatic in my style personality. I suit scale, contrast, and statement shapes. Sometimes that shows up as oversizing. So before buying into an oversized trend, pause and ask yourself these two questions:

Does this work for my shape?
Does this feel like me?
When both line up, the outfit works effortlessly. Want to learn what works for you? Send me a pm And I will send more details about my consultations and packages.

Cost per wear is the true measure of value! 👌🏾

The real cost of this coat was not the price tag.
I bought this coat from & Other Stories three years ago.
It was not cheap.
I paused before buying it.
And I still wear it every winter.

It works with jeans, tailoring, knitwear, trainers, boots. It feels good on my body and works with my lifestyle.
That is cost per wear.
Not what you pay at checkout.
But how often you reach for it, How it wears over time and How long it earns its place in your wardrobe.

This is why I always come back to this question before buying anything new:

Will I still want this next year?
Will it work with what I already own?
Will I wear it enough?
When you start shopping this way, your wardrobe will start to feel more settled.

You buy less and you wear more of what you own. 🥰
Fabric first.
Fit second.
Colour Third
Price last.
