The shop is reasonably tidy and ready to receive visitors from 10.30am till 4pm TODAY

I managed to do some laundry so as soon as its ironed there will be some great new pieces hitting the rails.

Lucy will also be working today so I will able hunt through the stock room, if you have any special requests and if you desire, and I feel inclined, I might let you rummage through the downstairs inventory.

Also THE SALE continues with discounts through the store 😄

to 1990s me. Gosh, I wish I still had those eyebrows 😄

I miss being in the shop so much ! So, even though work on the house is still underway I can opening up THIS SATURDAY 1st August.

Unfortunately still got the kitchen to prep for painting so can't open up on Friday.

The SALE continues, with even more enthusiastic discounts on summery stuff.

to get your adrenaline pumping on a Friday morning 🫢

It turns out that when I said the shop was closed on Friday and Saturday this week it was a big fat lie !

I hadn't locked the door properly YESTERDAY AFTERNOON so its been open all night...

Thankful that this very kind stranger noticed and messaged me.

Also, very grateful that no-one took advantage of my stupidity. Nothing taken, nothing damaged.

I GOT AWAY WITH BEING A COMPLETE TWIT

Right... so I will get on with getting the house ready for the decorator next week and count my blessings. This scenario could have been absolutely TERRIBLE.

A seemingly never ending pile of clutter !

Sorry for any inconvenience but I am still up to my elbows in my unfinished projects, past obsessions and objects of future fantasy.

On the up side I keep finding all sorts of buried treasure 😃 yesterday I came upon a suitcase labelled 'my summer clothes ' which must have been put in there when I moved into the house 12 years ago. It was full of 1930s lingerie and 90s bias cut Ghost dresses, which was my go to summer silhouette, back then.

I am very happy to open the shop up, by appointment, but will not be keeping regular hours this week.

I suppose having too much stuff is an occupational hazard, in my line of work 🤣

I am behind schedule prepping my home to be painted. The decorator says he needs two rooms clear before he can start work and I have a LOT OF STUFF !

Trying to clear out the garage so I can move some furniture in there and pack away homewares, clothes and knick knacks.

It's like unravelling a ball of string ! As soon as you start sorting things out a fairly orderly home turns into a bomb site !

My job involves going out shopping at least 3 times a week, so it is natural that I find things for me, as well as the business.

Hopefully open next week but I will see how well I get on over the next few days .

to late 1970s teenage me.

Taken in a photo booth I am wearing my mums old fur coat, a 1960s neon pink mini dress, worn back to front with the zip undone, a single Edwarian glove (rolls eyes 🙄 😆) and make up that poorly attempts to copy Debbie Harry's.

The badge is a home made cut and paste job for The All ( The Ani Love League ) a band I formed with some friends that never wrote any songs, I think we did one rehearsal 😆

Ah.... teenagers eh ?

If the shop hours don't work for you I can always opening by appointment for you to have a browse. Just DM. Appointments are also good if you are looking for something specific, I may not always have what you seek but when you have made an appointment you get my full attention and I can rummage through the archive to try to meet your needs.

Good morning 🌞 a lovely sunny day, here in Stroud and we are open from 10.30am till 4pm

If you don't like the heat, I recommend coming to the shop before 2pm. Once the sun gets over the buildings accross the road it does get rather warm.

I always have spring water, so if you are feeling a bit thirsty, just ask 🥛 🫠
