Finally completed a special Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress made of silk velvet fabric.
I’d never worked with silk velvet before; but no stopping me now!
Took my time and considered all the features of the fabric; the delicacy of the silk, the pile of the velvet,
Almost made an error when laying out to cut singly; almost laid out forgetting about mirror image for left and right skirt pieces but remembered!
Lots of hand basting to hold unstable silk together before final stitching.
But all worked out well in the end.

Latest gig dates!
This weekend it’s a free street party in Wooton Under Edge. Lots of great bands, street food and fun. We’re playing at 4:45pm.
Then we have the ‘Sounds of Stroud’ gigs in September. We’re teaming up with our good friends to celebrate some of the wonderful music Stroud has to offer. The first gig will be The Club in Newnham on Friday 12th September and the following Friday 19th we will be doing it all again with added who will be bringing his Spanish guitar looping awesomeness to the gig in Cheltenham. Finally we finish off a busy year at an old favourite place to play Friday 14th November.
When things quieten down we will be working on new material and starting to think about the next album. Keep an ear to the ground for that. 🎉💃🐊
