WOAAAAAHHH...

🦁 First I was alerted to the genius idea of matching sunglasses! Thanks Katie Brockhurst 😎

🦁 Now I've been alerted to the utterly joyful idea of matching watches!!! Thanks Jamie Robins 😍

🦁 Then I had the brainwave... Coloured smoke flares for a little promo video and photos!! 🙋🏼‍♂️

🦁 Oh and here's the full set of DIGITAL print t-shirts (not to be confused with their neon screenprint counterparts), ready to be modelled and loaded onto Etsy and our shop, in unisex & women's fit... Getting there. 👣

Just a few little curiosities I'm noodling with...

Fully aware I'm dragging my feet, taking my time sorting and getting things live... I'm deliberately prioritising other things. First things first. One step at a time. 👣

Trusting the perfect time to go live is when I'm ready... Not gonna stress over imaginary deadlines. What will be will be.

Right then Ryan... LET'S DO THIS.

Only now starting to find my feet following my house move a month ago to a new town and re-emerging from a prolonged period of reassessment of my priorities, I awoke this morning to find myself almost involuntarily uttering these very words, only to open my drawer and find this very t-shirt sat atop subtly calling me into action as if by some curious nudge from the universe to finally give some concerted time, effort and attention to get this 'MY LION'S ROAR' show on the road for real...

NEXT STEP... Set up Etsy shop with all x10 digital print designs available to buy in unisex (what I'm pictured wearing) and women's fit t-shirts.

In other news...

My SCREEN printed samples got delivered yesterday (not to be mistaken with the final DIGITAL print versions I'll actually make and sell)...

Either way, trust me when I say this, these photos REALLY don't do these colours ANY justice whatsoever, cos in the flesh they 'POP like a MOTHERF**KER!!!'*

*(technical term)

Now I just hope the digital printing process can come anywhere close to replicating these screen printed colours... Which really isn't a foregone conclusion!

(Seriously, don't get started on why a CMYK digital printer isn't able to replicate the desired cyan blue, when the 'C' in CMYK stands for CYAN!!! 🤬🤯😤🤬🤯😤🤬

My lion is seriously on the prowl trying to get them to justify why...

'Is it that you CAN'T do it or that you WON'T do it, cos I know for a fact that you COULD do it...!?')

But the fact I'm going digital (instead of screen printing) is a critical decision in this process...

Going digital might comprise the desired colours somewhat BUT going with screen printing would require keeping stock and doing the whole fulfilment process myself - F**K THAT...

My gift is helping people come alive not losing myself in big, complex operational t-shirt businesses.

And so I'm another step forward.

Yes, this whole process could be done A LOT quicker but...
a. I'm busy with other work, Wanders and exciting projects, and b. Going slow affords more time to get it right.

And anyway, what's the rush?

It'll take as long as it takes.

I mean, seriously... Just look at those colours!? 😍❤️🦁

Yes, the design and production process is taking (a lot) more time than I'd like but sometimes it pays to slow down and take your time to feel into what really matters... ONE. STEP. AT. A. TIME.

🦁 Get the colours right ✔️

🦁 Get the t-shirt quality, fit & feel right ✔️

🦁 Get the detail of each design right ✔️ (to make it look like I literally handpainted each t-shirt!)

🦁 Get the supplier right and invest in the relationship ✔️

🦁 Get the size of each design right ❌ (not quite there yet, a bit too big!)

🦁 Rejoice in the joyous, timely little moments of 'YES' that come along (like this little girls bag in front of me!) to help keep me true to my purpose! ❤️😁

WOOHOO... 1st run of designs just sent to the printers, ready to get first samples made for my new 'MY LION'S ROAR' venture!

Each design / phrase inspired by the ROAR of a different coaching client or good friend, to be introduced and explained at a later point.

Each to be printed in it's own glorious dazzlingly neon pantone colour akin to these joyous matching sunglasses, on white, in men's & women's t-shirts.

Each with the 'MY LION'S ROAR' logo printed inside as a small 'label' print to brand them!

Every step of this process embracing a different one of these expressions as it unfolds...

All unfolding infinitely slower than I'd like... Sometimes surprising, sometimes frustrating and discouraging... Always a reminder just to take the next step and see!

MY LION'S ROAR creative project update (15th November)...

😤 After many hours of pi***ng about (technical term) I am led to believe that I can't digitally print neon pantone colours OR screen print on demand?!

Am anticipating that the only possible way forward is to screen print the designs in bulk and handle the shipping process myself... Grrr... Not ideal.

(Albeit would gift the potential to get a lot more personalised with the process).

Still researching.
Welcome any insights???

🥰 That said, I have now found a perfect, cost effective and suitable eco-friendly t-shirt that fits and feels A-MA-ZING...

😍 AND even though the colours (as seen on my sample 'ROAAAR' t-shirt) don't pop like I want, I'm VERY happy with how my handpainted designs look!!

🤯 Then I realised that this time last year I actually created the perfect We Won't Die Wondering podcast precursor for this project and had already intuited the name! WTF. Mind blown.

🤩 And have now set up and populated a dedicated Instagram and FB page with historical storyline of this project. If you've not received an invite to 'follow' either then anticipate one is on its way or feel free to opt yourself in and please do share if you like! ❤️🙏

😂 Still can't get over how utterly joyful and excited these sunglasses make me feel, regardless of who else thinks the same... With the right t-shirts (as shown with my original designs) they're the perfect accompaniment to a YES and a HELL YEAH t-shirt day!!!

🦁 Already intuited a brilliant idea to create a possible and obvious 'Lion Club' as things unfold and progress.

👣 But first things first... One step at a time. Don't be tempted to force anything. Let myself be guided to get the t-shirts right, all in good time.

'MY LION'S ROAR' creative project update (15th October)...

🎉 First batch of 'designs' created and sent to printers yesterday to scan to create digital files and apply preferred neon colours.

😅 Dead simple 'designs' but still took me at over 60 efforts to get it 'right', 2 proper 'OH FFS!!' moments and having to draw on 2 good friends in the field to shed light on how to possibly create them how I'd really like...

🙏 All of it a MASSIVE learning curve. Feel like a proper novice. So easy to get overwhelmed. Great practice in trying to find the balance between taking steps and allowing it all to happen... A lifelong practice in itself.

😂 And then I discovered you can buy these packs of neon sunglasses in the exact same colours I'm looking to print my t-shirts! Admittedly not gonna be everyone's cup of tea but brought me great joy at the thought! 😎

One step at a time Ryan...

And then just like that, in early October 2022, a whole new creative project was born.

18 months in the making.
Crystalised 2 months ago.
Name intuited 5 days ago.
Rationale realised 4 days ago.
Domains bought 3 days ago.
This literally being my new brand identity, fashioned 2 hours ago.

I'm so excited by the simplicity, potential impact and opportunity to play by this project that it makes my whole being smile ear to ear as it's all coming together, knowing where and how it all so clearly fits with my coaching and We Won't Die Wondering stuff and the simple joy it's already giving me...

Then back in August, this happened....

Made a t-shirt for a festival I'm going to this wknd. Not my finest artwork but still...

What's the question?

Will I have another beer?
Do I want to join in the tug of war?
(It's like a massive summer camp for adults, there will be a lot if this stuff!)
Am I loving this new beard of mine?
Is this t-shirt going to get me in a truck load of trouble and interesting situations?

Bring it on.

Where it all began... A simple wish I had 18 months ago to my roar my need to say 'YES' more in my life and make myself a t-shirt to own and say as much...

Made simply my hand painting the word onto a cheap white Primark t-shirt.

It's still one of my favourite t-shirts.
