How beautiful is this jumper hand knitted by Fiona 😍
Fiona’s jumper was knitted using the pattern ‘Muckle Roe’ by Marie Wallin, but with an alteration at the neck.
The yarn used was ‘Havera’ (deep blue) and ‘Shumire’ (green).

We love it Fiona, thanks so much for sharing your photo with us and allowing us to share it with our followers 💙

Shetland Kale 🥬 is native to our beautiful Islands. It’s a ‘super food’ for both man and beast! We feed it to our sheep and cattle and eat it ourselves as a vegetable and also in Reestit Mutton soup.
We’ve been planting it today, using a Setting Tree which is just a ‘poky tool’! It was going so well and then our 3 year old Grandson buried the said Setting Tree and couldn’t remember where! Not to be outdone, we improvised with a windscreen scraper and a knife sheath!!

All set up at today from 11am to 4pm. Pop along , it’s nice in here and there’s loads of stalls!

Here’s a fabulous looking Birsie Beanny that was made by Elisabeth after she visited our stall at the last Muckle Market. She bought a pack of 5x25g balls which knitted beautifully into her hat. Elisabeth and her friend Pauline also came to visit us at our Croft after, to meet our sheep and new lambs!
Will we see you at the Muckle Market on Saturday?

The perfect addition to your accessory wardrobe - ‘Da Ness Man’s Gravit’, especially if you’ve already made yourself ‘Da Ness Man’s Kep’!

This scarf uses the same patterns as the aforementioned Kep and can easily be adjusted in length by adding or removing a number of plain coloured rows.

We have printed copies of the pattern available and the PDF is available on our website too.
