Hiya,
I’ve finally bitten the bullet and made this page. My aim is to set up a small side business selling my knitted designs, with some of the work I’ve done over the past year shown here.
For anyone for is interested in the designs or has any feedback or even commission please just send me a message and I’ll see what I can do.
Thanks!

Although I take inspiration from the traditional Fair Isle over all and yoke designs I wanted to do something a bit different, make them a bit more contemporary.

With the plain and Fair Isle options you can choose how to wear them, whether to display the patterns or have a more muted approach.
Made with 100% Shetland yarn it makes for a comfy and cosy feel.

I've wanted to start designing garments that can be adaptable and give more choice to the folk that wear them.

My designs try to be flexible in allowing the person to choose how to wear them, either making highlights to the Fair Isle patterning or taking a more subtle approach.

These skirt designs have more options for sizing giving more freedom of where to place them and how tight or loose they want.

Jumpers, cardigan and pullovers created over the past couple of years.
Made with 100% Shetland yarn these garments were hand grafted together.
Again, I wanted to take a different approach to the more tradtional look of Fair isle. By fliping the designs which are more tradtionally seen in yoke (aorund the neck) format.
I feel it adds an alternative look!

Woven final year collection.
Using the Shetland seasons and locations to inspire the colours used in the woven pieces.
I used the different seasonal photos I took around Shetland to influence the colours for the different fabrics.

I thought it would be interesting to show where I get my inspiration from and how I use it. This project I did in my 3rd year I used Shetland's seascapes and things associated with the sea to inspire the colours and textures of the woven cloths.

I use the same methods when desiging for knitwear
