1ST CHAPTER ✅ ⚔️

As our first season comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has been part of our journey so far.

When Wearside FC was formed, we knew there would be challenges ahead. Bringing together a completely new squad, building a team from scratch and creating a club identity takes time. There have been highs and lows throughout the season, difficult afternoons, brilliant performances, memorable goals and plenty of lessons learned along the way.

This season has never just been about results. It’s been about building foundations for the future. Welcoming new players, and developing as a group who continued to grow both on and off the pitch. Every player who has worn the shirt this season has contributed to the story of our first year as a club.

A huge thank you goes out to our players, coaching staff, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, friends and families. Without your support none of this is possible.

The focus now turns towards next season. Work is already underway behind the scenes as we get ready for the start of the season.

Before then, we’ll be announcing our end-of-season awards, including Player of the Season, Players’ Player, Goal of the Season and more over the coming weeks. 👀

A difficult afternoon in a game where we were punished for a slow start and lapses in concentration during set pieces which led to Billingham taking a comfortable 2-0 lead into the second half. Whilst the game was competitive and good football was played for large spells, key moments in the game cost us and the game ended 5-0.

We head back to Billingham next week to face Billingham United in our final game of the season.

Tough game against the league leaders. Whilst competitive at times and keeping ourselves in the game, we were ultimately punished as the game went on as Consett were clinical and took their chances well. We found the net twice through Ryan Sinclair with a tidy finish across the face of goal & Michael Madgin with a goal to make it 4-2, before we were shortly reduced to 10 men as Consett added another 2 goals late on.
