Another busy week planned in the workshop this week as we start to start to wind down our summer programme.

I can’t believe we’ve had 14 children’s sessions on this summer and almost all have been sold out! Which is amazing, so thank you so much! We also have our build a bear party on Wednesday which I’m super looking forward to…

…But as you can imagine the energy levels are STARTING to deplete. There’s still some left for the next couple of weeks but after that we will be closed for a much needed holiday.
Why are you telling us this now I hear you ask… well I thought I would give as much notice as I possibly can, as most of you know this little business of mine is 90% me (Laura) and I’ve been working so hard on it, behind the scenes (keep your eyes peeled for that), I’ve been busy on other projects in and out of the shop and getting ready for what we hope will be a busy autumn/ winter season. I need a break, which means phone calls, messages etc will not be answered during that time- so if you have questions now’s your time to ask them! The website and contact form will be open throughout the break for booking and enquiries but the shop/ phone will be closed.

I am also no longer taking on alterations (from now) as time just doesn’t permit it and I need to focus on those who already have projects I’m working on and have been for a while (sorry to those that have been waiting)
Thank you for sticking with us and keep following to see what’s coming up and some of the amazing things made by both adults and children this summer ☀️🕶️

Our second colour changing chameleon cushion workshop this summer! Who knew this would get so much excitement and enjoyment! This group did so well and was so creative… we had some truly fancy and dandy chameleons with top hats and monarchals! Over half this group hadn’t ever used a sewing machine before coming and look what they mastered! I’m so impressed! Well done to everyone that came - you all did amazingly well! 🌟

Got a little person that loves crafting, loves stuffed toys or even a bit nervous about going back to school? We’ve got a super fun “craft party” in the last week of the holidays just for you!

Our “build a bear craft party” has just been added to the schedule - you can either join them (all under 6 must be accompanied) or drop them for a morning of bear themed craftiness and games - you get to adopt your personalized bear with its very own certificate! You’ll stuff them, accessorise them, make a portrait of them and a keyring to remember them by when not with them! This is going to be such a fun party - we can’t wait! Take a look at some of the amazing whale bags made on today’s children’s sewing session! There was no stopping this group they just wanted to keep sewing all session… the photos don’t do the work this lot put into these bags justice - not only are they super cute but they are also fully lined with zips and adjustable clipped straps! Amazing sewing done today and super proud of how amazing they all made their whales! Well done to EVERYONE that attended 🌟

Take a look at the amazing colour changing chameleons made on yesterdays rather hot children’s workshop. It was SO hot our colour changing chameleons didn’t take a lot to show us their bright and fun sides (or even go back to their darker colour combos). This group did so well mastering the sewing machine, painting their own chameleon and cutting/ decorating their envelope back cushions - what a fab start to our summer - well done to everyone that attended! 🌟🦎

We had so much fun (and as we kept getting asked) we’ve decided to run another chameleon colour changing workshop on MONDAY 24th AUGUST check out the website or our stories to get booked on ⬆️

We’ve been contacted a few times over the last couple of days enquiring about our children’s workshops and availability- so I thought I’d share the plan so far with you. We’ve had quite a number wanting the colourful chameleon workshop again as tomorrow’s one booked up so quickly - if we find another date would there be enough interest to make it viable?

There’s still space on our intro to tufting workshop this Friday - fancy trying your hand at rug making with our super fun electric guns? Suitable for 10+ years. Join us to make your own wall hanging(s) or cushion panel or whatever you want it to be… it’s great fun if you want to see if it’s for you or before committing to the larger scale tufting sessions we have coming up… just one warning - it’s addictive!
