It was wonderful to be back at one of Devon’s most beautiful wedding venues, surrounded by an incredible group of talented wedding creatives and meeting so many lovely couples at the start of their wedding journey.

There’s always something special about hearing those early wedding plans, the excitement, the ideas, and the anticipation for the day ahead. Being able to chat about bridal style and help brides start to imagine how they want to feel on their wedding day is one of my favourite parts of what I do.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, and to the Brickhouse Vineyard team for hosting such a beautiful event. I’m already looking forward to seeing some of these wedding plans come to life over the next few years. 🤍

One of the absolute highlights of my job is receiving photos from my brides after their wedding day — and these from Charlotte made me smile from ear to ear.

Charlotte popped by to see me on her way to her legal ceremony at Cockington, and we managed to grab a quick photo together outside the studio before she headed off to say “I do”.

Hearing how much she loved wearing her dress means the world:

“I’ve never been complimented so much in my life! Everyone was obsessed with the flowers and kept saying it was ‘very me’. I felt amazing in it, and the length was perfect for dancing and walking back to our hotel at 2:30am!”

Creating a dress that feels completely, unapologetically you is always the goal, so reading those words was incredibly special.

A little pinch-me moment for me… after winning National Wedding Seamstress or Tailor of the Year last year, I was incredibly humbled to be asked by TWIA to return this year as a judge for their brand-new Independent Dressmaker / Designer award 🤍

These awards are so important to our industry. Having bridal seamstresses and bridal designers recognised in separate categories for the first time means each speciality can truly be celebrated for the skill, craftsmanship, and dedication it requires — and that matters.

It was also an absolute honour to be part of the judging panel alongside such an inspiring group of women and — all outstanding independent bridal designers in their own right. A real privilege to judge alongside you 🤍

So proud of everyone recognised and so excited to see British bridal craftsmanship continue to shine ✨
