Early 20th century military shoulder bag; made in Egypt from thick bridle leather and canvas with heavy brass fittings, stamped throughout with the Citadel Workshop stamp and the original owner’s name, and - amazingly - still very much useable at over 100 years old!

You’ll never convince me there’s a better chino out there than the French M52; perfect shape, wide but not too wide leg, flattering pleating, easy to wear smart or crumpled and excellent quality. We currently have a few mid-1950s pairs available online.

David Lynch was of course a huge fan, seen here photographed by Kiino Valland, 2001 for the NY Times

Interesting early 1950s Barbour; the moleskin collar and off-centre press studs must make it a fairly unique item, likely a private commission, possibly a driving coat. Swipe through for close ups

1940s Hettrick American Field cropped fishing jacket; founded in Toledo, Ohio in the 1890s, Hettrick made various canvas goods - tents, awnings, car covers etc. - and included outdoors clothing in their catalogs from the early 1930s. I especially like the tag on this one; we should all have more toggery in our wardrobes. Cheers! ☕️
