A huge congratulations to our July Stars of the Month ⭐

For going above and beyond to support Countywide, helping to ensure our customers remain safe.

✨ Karen (West Team)
For a thoughtful and caring act in helping to source an anniversary card for a customer’s wife during a difficult time.

✨ Faye (South Team)
For staying calm and professional in a challenging situation, ensuring clear communication and following all relevant policies, procedures and reporting requirements.

✨ Hazel (South Team)
For the kindness and support shown to a colleague who became unwell whilst visiting a customer and ensuring both the customer and colleague were cared for and safe.

Reablement is a short‑term, goal‑focused service that supports adults to regain skills, confidence and independence in their own homes following illness or hospital discharge. Our teams work closely with customers, families and health professionals to support positive outcomes.

We offer a range of roles across frontline support, senior and leadership positions, therapy and business support.

✋💜 Happy International Left-Handers Day! 💜✋

Did you know that around 10% of people are left-handed?

Today we're celebrating all the left-handed members of our Reablement team, along with the customers we support. From writing notes and preparing meals to using equipment and carrying out everyday tasks, left-handers often develop creative ways of doing things in a world that's largely designed for right-handed people!

At Reablement, we're all about helping people find solutions that work for them. Whether you're left-handed, right-handed, or somewhere in between, independence looks different for everyone, and that's something worth celebrating. 💚

💜 A special thank you 💜

This week, Philippa, one of our Reablement Occupational Therapists, and Catherine, a Senior Support Worker from Wiltshire Support at Home, were touched to receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a thank you card from a customer's family.

The kind gesture was given in recognition of the support, compassion and reassurance they provided during a particularly difficult time. It is a reminder of the difference our teams make every day, supporting people and their loved ones when they need it most.

Thank you to Philippa and Catherine, and to all our Reablement and Wiltshire Support at Home colleagues, for the care, kindness and dedication you show every day. 🌸

✨ Meet Karen ✨

Karen is one of our newest Support Workers in the West Team. Here's what she had to say:

"Hi, my name is Karen and I joined the Reablement West Team at Wiltshire Council four weeks ago. After 16 years as an Ofsted-registered Childminder, I decided it was time for a new challenge and a career in social care .

So far, I've really enjoyed my journey. I've completed e-learning, attended training, and shadowed experienced colleagues who have helped me build my skills and confidence. I now support customers in their own homes after a stay in hospital, helping them regain their independence and confidence.

I'm married with two daughters and a son, and I've had lots of support from my family as I start this new chapter. I'm excited to see where my career with Wiltshire Council takes me over the coming years."
