Two tartans. Two hand fastenings. One very special wedding.
I recently had the pleasure of handweaving two bespoke tartan pieces for a bride and groom each created in their respective clan tartans and made specifically to be worn as hand fastenings on their wedding day.
It was a real privilege to take something so deeply personal and translate it into a small, beautifully crafted woven piece that will hopefully become part of their wedding memories for years to come.
Handwoven in my Glasgow studio, with every thread, colour and detail carefully considered.
A lovely example of how woven textiles can become more than just cloth, carrying stories, heritage and meaning.
