Spent a lot of time sitting in traffic lately. Tonight was no exception but reactions like this make it worth it. What an absolute joy to work for Queensway Royals. Polite and enthusiastic and very, very excited! This is why we do it!

One of our team Emily used to be a gymnast and I’ve promised her for a long time we’d branch into this area. This week I gave her free rein to create a leotard and this is what she came up with. She gave it to my Lois after school and Lois put it straight on to go to gymnastics. She’s not stopped grinning so I think she likes it! This is something we will be offering from this summer- custom designed and handmade. What do you think?

Isn’t this lovely? Our gorgeous Aniko has made herself indispensable to our team. If you’ve got one of our dresses there is a very good chance she did the zig zag (applique) design on some of it. Aniko makes morris dresses for 18” dolls (our generation doll size) and build a beard to resemble your own morris dress. These make such a cute gift for your little dancers.

Don’t these dresses just shine in the sunlight? Absolute joy to work for Debbie and Faye at Unity morris. I was particularly pleased to make an all green dress since it’s my favourite colour. What do you think? Not a sequin in sight 🥰

Jupiter morris are looking to sell these gorgeous dresses. I love this sequin- such a unique effect - and the colour combo. So striking. We called them the ‘Genie dresses’. Contact Sue at Jupiter morris or I can put you in touch. Jupiter always take good care of their dresses. Good range of sizes with a man’s and also a boy’s set. Probably about 70-80 in total.

Croxteth Morris returned to blue this year and debuted their new dresses for spring champs in May. Not gonna lie, we had a few issues with these (sometimes a small step done wrong can escalate and in this case the notches in the skirt were not cut deep enough to accommodate a dropped waist and it threw the skirt alignment off) but we sorted it. I love the look of these dresses and the colours chosen but I’d be happier if we never had to make another one 😂🫠. Thank you Croxteth for being patient with us.

I’ve always used stretch stitching to make my dresses. With the right care, they should last for many seasons (especially if made without sequin which can sometimes ruin the foil on the Lycra during washing!)
Rutland Morris are selling these beauties. So unique and still in great condition. Black for older lines and gold for younger. Think there’s about 65/70 of them. Contact Diane at Rutland for more info or I can put you in touch.
